When is Deyvison De Los Santos getting called up? Will Deyvison De Los Santos play in July of this MLB season? Read about Deyvison De Los Santos' debut date and fantasy baseball prospect updates for 2024.
The Miami Marlins, with their 43-73 record, are undeniably one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball this season.
However, while the major league team faces the challenge of winning games now, the Marlins' farm system is brimming with talent, suggesting a brighter future ahead. With four prospects ranked in MLB Pipeline's top 100 (Noble Meyer, Robby Snelling, Thomas White, and Max Meyer), the organization's future is deep.
One youngster who has recently captured attention ranked as the Marlins’ seventh overall prospect is Deyvison De Los Santos, ranked seventh in the Marlins' system. Acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks in a trade for A.J. Puk on July 25, De Los Santos has already begun to make his mark with the Marlins' Triple-A affiliate, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. In just 10 games, he's posted an impressive .289/.400/.553 slash line, with three home runs and seven RBIs,
Deyvison De Los Santos’ Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
De Los Santos possesses significant fantasy potential, thanks to his prodigious raw power and elite exit velocities, which rank among the best in minor league baseball. However, like many young sluggers, he struggles with strikeouts, an area of his game that still needs refinement. In 97 games this season split across three levels, he has a 22.1 K% compared to only a 6.8 BB%.
Despite those poor percentages, De Los Santos has still been able to remain one of the elite hitters in all of the minors. Throughout these 97 games (380 ABs), he is slashing .321/.379/.626 and leads the minors with 31 home runs and 90 RBIs.

At just 21 years old, De Los Santos has plenty of time to grow into a consistent power threat. Fantasy managers should keep a close eye on De Los Santos, as he’s a must-add when he eventually gets the call to the majors and a valuable stash in deeper leagues.
Deyvison De Los Santos’ Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
With the Marlins focused on their long-term future, the remainder of this season serves as an audition period for younger players aiming to secure roles in 2025 and beyond. Although De Los Santos is still quite young, his current performance could accelerate his timeline to the majors.
The Marlins’ current starters at first and third base, Jonah Bride and Emmanuel Rivera, are both 28 and unlikely to be key to the team's future. This opens up a potential opportunity for De Los Santos to step into a starting role with the support of veteran teammates.
While the Marlins have not provided a specific timeline for De Los Santos' call-up, his continued success in the minors could force their hand sooner rather than later. It honestly could be a matter of days.
