Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (shoulder) wasn't able to finish his Sunday game against the Indianapolis Colts. He's now listed on the injury report, and since he was pulled from the game and plays so soon, there's concern he may not be able to suit up.
His team will play on Thanksgiving morning against the rival Chicago Bears. He'll have just a three-day turnaround to get himself ready for that contest.
So will Montgomery play in Week 13?

David Montgomery Injury Update for Fantasy Football
If you trust what he says, then you should believe that he will. He was supposedly pulled from the Colts game as an extra precaution. This makes sense because Indy wasn't threatening to win the game at any point, and the team knew they wouldn't have much time to prepare for the next game. You can see the play where the injury occurred below.

In addition, Lions head coach Dan Campbell says he "feels pretty good" about both Montgomery and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee), and every time he's said that, the player ends up playing. Fantasy managers should be happy that Campbell is so forthcoming with his players' injury news. He's the anti-Kyle Shanahan.
We absolutely should be happy that there aren't more Shanahan's out there. That would be awful.
David Montgomery Fantasy Football Outlook
He's a must-start when he plays, whatever injury he goes into the game with. And the opposing Bears defense hasn't been the best against running backs this year. They allow 4.8 yards per rush attempt to opposing teams this season. That's awful. Expect both Monty and RB Jahmyr Gibbs to gash them on the ground.

It's hard to argue with the above picture. It's also hard to argue with 632 yards, 11 rushing touchdowns, and 241 receiving yards through 11 games. You're starting him if he's on your roster anyway, but you should have confidence.
