I'm not saying jinxes are 100% a thing but I did write this just last week:
"...the tight end landscape hasn't been this robust in several seasons." - Andrew Ball, RotoBaller.com
In the time since those words were published, Darren Waller (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve, T.J. Hockenson is dealing with an oblique or ribs issue, and Dallas Goedert (forearm) will be on the shelf for several weeks. I apologize. At least Cole Kmet and Taysom Hill are there to save the position.

Goedert plays a massive role in the Philadelphia passing game and his absence will open doors for other skill position players for the Eagles. For those relying on number 88 as a steady tight end option, all hope for the season is not lost.
Dallas Goedert Injury Update For Fantasy Football
In the third quarter of Philadelphia's home win over the division rival Dallas Cowboys, Goedert was tackled by his forearm and did not return to the game. Doctors have diagnosed the sixth-year professional with a fractured forearm and he will be out for several weeks. Injured reserve is a possibility.
If Goedert does find a spot on IR, he is required to miss a minimum of four games. With the Eagles' bye landing on Week 10, the soonest he would be able to return would be in Week 15, when Philadelphia travels to Seattle.
Dallas Goedert Fantasy Football Outlook
If and when Goedert returns, he'll slot right back in as a TE1 for fantasy football managers. A fractured forearm won't mess much with his conditioning, and it won't at all affect his movement on the field.
In the meantime, DeVonta Smith could take on a larger role. The former Heisman Trophy winner is currently earning a 22% target share. Goedert is sitting at 19%. Goedert essentially missed this same timeframe last season (Weeks 11-15). That's when Smith graduated to a high-end WR2. On about 8.5 targets per game, Smith racked up an average of 84 yards and 15.8 PPR points per contest.
The remaining tight ends will be used more as blockers, with the occasional target. Smith, Olamide Zaccheaus, and even Julio Jones will be tasked with picking up the receiving slack. A.J. Brown may see a slight uptick as well but he's already the WR2 in fantasy football and commanding over a 30% target share.
