Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp injured his ankle back in Week 2 and has not played since. Kupp had a huge Week 1 showing against the Lions, catching 14 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown. It looked like he was poised for a big year.
The team did not place Kupp on the injured reserve. If they had, he would have had to miss four games.
When is Kupp coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Cooper Kupp Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The Rams opted not to put Kupp on the IR. If they had, he would have been forced to miss four games.
Kupp has currently missed three games, so we're reaching a point where the Rams's decision not to put him on IR is being tested. Week 7's game against the Raiders will be the fourth game since Kupp has been injured. By not placing him on IR, the Rams were betting on him being back in time to play in this one.
#Rams WR Cooper Kupp, attempting to return from a high-ankle sprain, had a positive workout today and his return this week is at least possible, sources say.
The next step is to see when he practices and how it goes. The team will gather more info, but today presented good news. pic.twitter.com/hX6ZmoI3ex

But it remains unclear if he actually will play. Kupp worked out on Monday and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported it was positive, giving him a chance to play in Week 7. It's not a guarantee, but it sounds like a distinct possibility.
Cooper Kupp Fantasy Football Outlook
With Puka Nacua injured and the rest of the Rams receivers looking fairly inconsistent, fantasy managers should deploy Kupp as a low-end WR1 option if he suits up in Week 7 against the Raiders.
While he might not be at 100%, he should still be peppered with targets from quarterback Matthew Stafford.

If Kupp is out, Tutu Atwell and Jordan Whittington would have streaming appeal, but neither has anywhere close to the ceiling that Kupp would have this weekend against Vegas.
