Christian Scott Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
New York Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told the media on Sunday, June 23, that the young right-hander has a "good chance" of rejoining the major league roster soon as the Mets are about to embark on a 17-game 17-day stretch. This long stretch will start on Friday when the Mets welcome the Houston Astros to Citi Field for a three-game set.
Although the Mets are not committing to anything just yet, there's a "good chance" Christian Scott returns to the rotation during their 17-game stretch without an off day that begins Friday and runs through the All-Star break. "He's in play," manager Carlos Mendoza said.

This is a good sign for the Florida product as he has a strong chance of continuing his debut season sometime next week as the Mets currently operate with a five-man rotation that will be strained with the grueling schedule that awaits them.
Christian Scott Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
Through his first 27 2/3 major league innings, Scott posted a 3.90 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and a 6:25 BB:K ratio. His best performance was on May 11 when he tossed six innings of three-run ball against the Atlanta Braves with a career-high of eight punchouts.
Paul Skenes will rightfully steal the show today, but Christian Scott out here making the Braves hitters look silly.
— Chris Clegg (@RotoClegg) May 11, 2024
In the minors this season, Scott has showcased elite strikeout upside with 52 in just 38 innings. Unfortunately, this has yet to translate to the major league level but fantasy managers should trust his prospect pedigree and stash Scott as he could make his next start as early as next week.
