Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin was a popular mid-round fantasy football draft pick. The veteran wide receiver has been outstanding after being somewhat of an afterthought on offense in 2023.
Godwin is the WR3 for the season, averaging 16.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The star wide receiver has averaged 8.9 targets per game, seeing eight or more in all but one contest.
Unfortunately, he suffered an injury late in the Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on a controversial play. How long will Godwin be out of the lineup? Will he return this season?

Fantasy Football Impact For The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pass Catchers
Tampa Bay also lost Mike Evans to a hamstring injury in Week 7. The star wide receiver will return this year. However, the team expects Evans to miss multiple weeks. Reportedly, he will return after the Buccaneers’ Week 11 bye to face the New York Giants.
Last week, Cade Otton stepped up for Tampa Bay. The young tight end has been outstanding lately. He had eight receptions on 10 targets for 100 receiving yards and 14 fantasy points in Week 7. More importantly, Otton was even better in Week 8, finishing with nine receptions on 10 targets for 81 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 24.6 fantasy points.

Otton is the only Buccaneers pass-catcher that fantasy players can start with confidence until Evans returns in a few weeks.
