Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) wasn't able to participate in his team's Week 12 game against the Denver Broncos. He took over the starting job of fellow RB Zamir White (quad) earlier in the season, and the team didn't budge from that designation.
However, his status for Week 13 is now in question as well. He's had a few solid games (fantasy football-wise) in his 2024 season, so this situation is important for fantasy managers.
When will Mattison return to the field for the Raiders?

Alexander Mattison Injury Update for Fantasy Football
It looks like he has a solid chance to play in Week 13. There's a shorter turnaround than normal from last week -- Las Vegas will take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Black Friday, November 29. He went through his team's Tuesday walkthrough in a limited fashion.

This is a clear upgrade from last week. No. 22 didn't practice at all heading up to Week 12, was listed as "Doubtful" on his team's injury report for the game, and didn't end up suiting up. However, this wasn't a full practice, so Wednesday's status should shed more light on his potential availability.
His injury is reportedly not seen to be a long-term issue. He could be dealing with soreness or a mild low-ankle sprain, but it doesn't seem to be anything worse.
Alexander Mattison Fantasy Football Outlook
He's been a boom-or-bust option in fantasy football this season. He's had just as many games with double-digit PPR fantasy points as he has those in the single digits. His involvement in the passing game has waxed and waned seemingly as much as the moon crescents. That's resulted in unpredictable scoring outputs.

With White in the mix, his goal-line role has been present, though at times inconsistent as well. It's tough to predict when he'll do well. He's a RB3/FLEX option in deeper PPR leagues, but comes with plenty of risk against the toughest run defense in the NFL in the Chiefs. They allow the least PPR fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in 2024.
