The Las Vegas Raiders have been in a bit of a bind at quarterback. Aidan O'Connell has been sidelined by a thumb injury, while Gardner Minshew II suffered a season-ending collarbone injury last week.
The Raiders play Friday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Will Aidan O'Connell be back or will Vegas have to turn to Desmond Ridder at quarterback?
When is Aidan O'Connell coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Aidan O'Connell Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The Raiders have some good news ahead of Friday's game as Aidan O'Connell has been cleared to return and is set to start at quarterback for Las Vegas against the Kansas City Chiefs.

With O'Connell cleared to return from the thumb injury, Desmond Ridder is expected to serve as the backup quarterback for the Raiders.
This will mark the first game action for O'Connell since Week 7 against the Rams, when he was 6-for-10 for 60 yards.
Aidan O'Connell Fantasy Football Outlook
Looking at this situation from a real-life football perspective, Aidan O'Connell likely gives the Raiders a better chance of getting the upset victory over the one-loss Chiefs, but as far as fantasy football goes, it likely doesn't matter which quarterback is playing.
#Raiders Aidan O’Connell can join Josh Allen as only QBs to beat Patrick Mahomes twice at Arrowhead. (Allen has done it 3 times) https://t.co/lsF5HjJi3i

O'Connell has appeared in four games this year, with a best weekly finish of QB24 back in Week 6. There's simply not much upside to using him in your fantasy lineup this week. The only quarterbacks I would play O'Connell over this week are Drew Lock and Brandon Allen if the 49ers are forced to start him again.
Looking at this from a rest-of-season perspective, O'Connell ranks as a low-end QB3 play. It's hard to imagine many starting quarterbacks who would rank below O'Connell.
