We got lucky last time Thursday Night Football happened. The Cleveland Browns shocked the Pittsburgh Steelers in an instant classic that gave us a snow game, the Steelers getting beaten in a snow game, and quarterback Jameis Winston being a pure comedy in a snow game.
Maybe this week's game won't be as funny, but at least the matchup is great. Two powerhouse teams will clash in what is also set to be one of the biggest games of the year. There are serious playoff implications at stake.
So, who are the two teams playing? Who will win? Let's break that down, as well as the ways you can catch the game on TV or online.

Who is Playing on Thursday Night Football?
The Green Bay Packers will travel to the Motor City to face the Detroit Lions in the highest-stakes edition of TNF yet. The divisional rivals are still battling for the NFC North title. While the Lions are 11-1, a win for the 9-3 Packers in this game would go a long way toward evening the playing field and make it much easier for Green Bay to steal the division crown.
The Vikings, Lions, and Packers have a combined record of 30-6. 3 of those 6 losses came in division.

This contest could end up being the difference-maker in the NFL's most hotly contested division. The Minnesota Vikings are 10-2, meaning the NFC North has three teams with nine or more wins. The Chicago Bears are doing Bears things, so they're out of the picture here.
When and How Can I Watch The Game?
The game will begin airing at 8:15 Eastern Standard Time, which is the typical start window for TNF.
Of course, the game will be available on TV to some local markets, but the primary way to watch Thursday Night Football remains Amazon Prime and Prime Video. Check out amazon.com if you want to subscribe. You can't miss it, as Prime and Prime Video advertisements are plastered everywhere.
Who is Going to Win?
The Lions have been an offensive juggernaut this season, but their defense could be the key deciding factor here. The absence of wide receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion) won't help GB's chances, but it may not make a huge difference. Maybe it'll throw the ball to WR Jayden Reed more since he's the team's best receiver. But this is the Packers we're talking about.

Reed is a scary player that they need to get the ball to more. Anyways, Detroit's defensive line and linebacker groups have been decimated by injury. We wouldn't be surprised to see the normally stiff DET run defense give up a big game to Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs. Injuries are one of the biggest driving factors of many NFL games.
We believe the Packers will pull this one off. If anything holds them back, though, it will be the occasional boneheaded throw quarterback Jordan Love makes. They'll just have to hope it's one of his good days. Lions quarterback Jared Goff is known to transform into Jared Goof and throw five picks sometimes, though.
Whether we get Goof or Goff may be the deciding factor for the game. Or it could be the coaching. Or injuries that happen in the middle of the game. Or ... yes, a lot can happen, but the Lions' injuries and the Packers run game should decide things. We'll give the edge to the healthier squad. Cheese heads rejoice.
