The 2023 NASCAR season has been a difficult one for Chase Elliott. The popular driver has battled both a broken leg and a suspension this year.
Elliott has struggled for the most part when on the track. Across 10 starts, he has failed to find victory lane in 2023 and has notched just three top-five finishes. The Hendrick Motorsports driver currently stands 27th in the NASCAR Cup Series Standings and is on the outside looking in when it comes to the Cup Playoffs.
The No. 9 team driver will look to get back on track in this week's Ally 400 at Nashville. What is Chase Elliott's starting position and outlook in the NASCAR Cup Series Ally 400 on Sunday, June 25, 2023?

What Is Chase Elliott's Starting Position In Ally 400?
Chase Elliott probably expected a better qualifying effort for Sunday's Ally 400. However, 14th is where he wound up. Elliott's Hendrick Motorsports Chevy did not quite have the overall speed to get into the final round of qualifying.
Elliott ran faster last year, led 42 laps, and benefitted from the late race conditions as he crossed the checkered line first. This year figures to be more of a challenge for the No. 9 driver. He never has started outside the top ten in Nashville. It will be intriguing to see how his late-run speed is compared to last year (fourth).
