Hey, RotoBallers! We are halfway through the fantasy football regular season, and Week 8 has arrived. Selecting the right kicker streamer could be the difference between losing or winning your league matchup. Today, we will review our Week 8 fantasy football kicker streamers, starts, and rankings article. First, let's take a look at some of our hits and misses from Week 7.
Last week’s streaming kicker picks didn’t pan out. Graham Gano only had one fantasy point in the victory over the Washington Commanders. Riley Patterson scored zero fantasy points in the Detroit Lions' blowout loss. Meanwhile, Chris Boswell had a solid performance, totaling eight fantasy points. He finished the week as a top-10 kicker.
Unless you have Justin Tucker, Harrison Butker, and Jake Elliott, most fantasy players stream the position weekly. Kickers are a challenging position to predict, but for fantasy players streaming in Week 8, we've got you covered. Below are the top streaming kickers, as well as the rankings for this week.

Kicker Streamers to Target in Week 8
All streamers in this article are rostered in under 60% of Yahoo leagues.
Dustin Hopkins (CLE) vs. Seattle Seahawks (18% Rostered)
Cleveland’s offense has been a mess this season. However, Dustin Hopkins has been a fantasy superstar. The veteran kicker has averaged 12.5 fantasy points per game, the highest average in the NFL. He has scored 12 or more fantasy points in all but two games this year. Furthermore, Hopkins has made all seven field goal attempts from 50 or more yards away in 2023.
This week, the veteran kicker has an appealing matchup against the Seahawks. Seattle has surrendered 7.7 fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, giving up seven or more in all but two contests. Meanwhile, Hopkins has been matchup-proof this year. He has scored 12 or more fantasy points in three of the past four games. Furthermore, the veteran has scored 38 fantasy points over the past two weeks.
Brandon Aubrey (DAL) vs. Los Angeles Rams (25% Rostered)
The Cowboys had a bye in Week 7, but Brandon Aubrey had been on fire heading into the week off. He has averaged 10.8 fantasy points per game, scoring double digits in four contests this season. Furthermore, the former USFL kicker has been perfect this year, making all 16 field goal attempts. Aubrey has also made critical kicks late in games for Dallas.
Last week, Chris Boswell made the article in part because of his matchup against the Rams. Los Angeles has surrendered 9.9 fantasy points per game to kickers this season. They have given up 11 or more in five of their past five matchups. Furthermore, kickers have scored at least seven fantasy points against the Rams in all but one game this year.
Blake Grupe (NO) vs. Indianapolis Colts (6% Rostered)
New Orleans has stuck with the rookie kicker despite his up-and-down season. However, Blake Grupe has put up good numbers for fantasy players, averaging 9.3 fantasy points per game. He has scored double-digit fantasy points in over half the games this year, including three of the past four contests.
Meanwhile, Grupe has an excellent matchup against the Colts in Week 8. Indianapolis has surrendered 12.3 fantasy points per game to kickers this season, one of the highest averages in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up 16.3 fantasy points per game over the past four weeks, surrendering at least 12 in every contest. Last week, Dustin Hopkins had a season-high 22 fantasy points against the Colts.
Kickers to Avoid in Week 8
Fantasy players should always stream the kicker position. However, it’s important to avoid picking up and starting a kicker that will be a bust. Let’s see which two kickers you shouldn’t pick up off the waiver wire this week.
Wil Lutz (DEN) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (7% Rostered)
No one should have been surprised when Sean Payton traded for his former kicker. However, Will Lutz hasn’t panned out for fantasy players. The veteran kicker has made 92.3% of his field goal attempts this season. Yet, he has averaged only six fantasy points per game before the Week 7 matchup against the Green Bay Packers. More importantly, Lutz has an unfriendly fantasy matchup against the division rivals.
The Chiefs have been a team fantasy players want to avoid when streaming kickers. They have held kickers to only 5.1 fantasy points per game this season, one of the lowest averages in the NFL. Furthermore, Kansas City surrendered more than four fantasy points to kickers in fewer than half of their games. More importantly, Lutz had zero fantasy points against the division rivals in Week 6.
Joey Slye (WAS) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (1% Rostered)
Nothing good happened for the Commanders last week. Their offense was a mess, and their defense made Tyrod Taylor look like a franchise-caliber quarterback. Meanwhile, Joey Slye continues to be an awful fantasy option. The veteran kicker had zero fantasy points in Week 7, seeing his only field goal attempt blocked. Furthermore, he has averaged only six fantasy points per game this season, one of the lowest averages in the NFL.
Unfortunately, things won’t be better for Slye this week against the Eagles. The NFC East reigning champions have held kickers to only 5.4 fantasy points per game this year, one of the lowest averages in the league. Furthermore, kickers have scored seven or fewer fantasy points against Philadelphia in all but one game. Slye had only seven fantasy points when these two met a few weeks ago.
