Week 8 Kicker Outlooks for Fantasy Football
Jake Bates, Detroit Lions - Fantasy Football Outlook
Detroit Lions kicker Jake Bates is coming off a game-winning field goal in Week 7 and heads into a favorable matchup against the Tennessee Titans in Week 8. The Titans have been allowing double-digit fantasy points to kickers, setting Bates up for another strong outing.
Bates has been nearly perfect this season, converting 10-of-10 field goals and 20-of-21 extra points. While Lions head coach Dan Campbell's aggressive fourth-down play-calling could limit Bates' field goal attempts, Detroit's projected team total of 28 points and their status as double-digit favorites indicates plenty of scoring opportunities for a kicker to jump on. With Bates not rostered as highly as one would expect, he remains a solid streaming option for Week 8.

Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens- Fantasy Football Outlook
Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker has rounded into form over the last few weeks. In their Week 7 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he made all five of his extra points while knocking through a 28 and 52-yarder. He's now made both of his 50-yard attempts since missing the first two to start the season and he's improved to 12-for-15 overall on the year.
The Cleveland Browns allow an average of 9.1 fantasy points per game to opposing kickers, and in AFC North matchups, they usually turn out to either be field goal affairs or shootouts that call for plenty of extra points. Either way, Tucker is a solid option to start in Week 8.
- Alex Fischbein, RotoBaller
Austin Seibert, Washington Commanders- Fantasy Football Outlook
Washington Commanders kicker Austin Seibert remains a high-end kicking option in Week 8 when he faces the Chicago Bears. Since joining the Commanders in Week 2, Seibert has missed just one attempt and has been perfect on all extra points. He has attempted at least two field goals in all but one game and attempted three or more in three games.
Even though the Commanders may be without their QB1, the Washington offense looked just as potent with Marcus Mariota last weekend. As a result, Seibert should have ample opportunities to get on the scoresheet on Sunday afternoon and should be started in all formats with confidence.
