NFL DFS Picks for Week 5
Before diving into some solid fantasy score totals this week, we must first cover the PrizePicks scoring format. The format is PPR, which stands for "point per reception," meaning every reception is worth one point. Rushing and receiving touchdowns are worth six points and passing touchdowns are worth four points. Each rushing or receiving yard is worth .1, meaning every 10 yards of either is worth one point. Quarterback passing yards are worth .04, which means every 25 passing yards are worth one point. If you ever have questions, you can always click the "scoring chart" option above the player selections for each contest. Now let's get to some solid fantasy score props for this week.
Dalvin Cook more than 77.5 rushing yards - Cook has a tremendous matchup this week against the Bears, who are allowing running backs to average over 127 rushing yards per game, which is ranked third-worst in the league.
Cook has averaged nearly 16 carries per game thus far and has gone over this total in two of his first four games to begin the season while just missing it in a third game. The Vikings are also 7.5-point favorites, which should lead to some additional carries late in the game.
CeeDee Lamb more than 60.5 receiving yards - Lamb and Cooper Rush have had a solid connection as he has been targeted 31 times over the previous three games. In those three games, he has racked up 75 receiving yards in every contest.
He will be up against a Rams defense that has allowed the second-most receiving yards to wide receivers to begin the season. The Cowboys entering as 4.5-point underdogs should also create some additional passing on their end.
Mike Evans more than 67.5 receiving yards- Evans is Tom Brady's favorite target as he has seen a total of 17 targets in the two full games he has played this season. He will be up against the Falcons, who are allowing wide receivers to average 175 receiving yards per game, which is ranked in the bottom 10 of the league. He has also gone over this total in each of those two aforementioned games.
Tom Brady more than 275.5 passing yards - It only makes sense to pair Brady up with Evans in this one. While Brady has started the season slower than most would have expected, he is fresh off of a 285-yard passing game against the Chiefs on Sunday night. He also threw for 271 yards in a Week 4 loss against Green Bay, so he could just be getting warmed up now.
The Falcons have allowed an average of 275 passing yards per game, which also ranks in the bottom 10 of the league. The Bucs are favored by 10 points in this game and they likely build that lead by throwing it all over the Falcons' secondary.
Other Recommendations: Mike Evans more than 15.0 fantasy score, 49ers DST more than 8.5 fantasy score, Aaron Jones more than 58.5 rushing yards
