Week 3 Wide Receiver Depth Charts for Fantasy Football

Wide receivers are one of the most critical components, and a core building block, for all fantasy football teams. This is especially true in PPR formats, where fantasy owners are rewarded for every catch that a wide receiver makes. We are here to help you plan your wide receiver draft strategy, and to target the right players on each NFL team.

Below are our 2015 fantasy football wide receiver depth charts as of Week 3 of the NFL and fantasy football season. For each team you will find the primary wide receiver (WR1), the secondary wide receiver (WR2), the third wide receiver (WR3), and dynasty values. Players listed under "Dynasty Value" have added value in dynasty/keeper league formats and can be targeted on draft day.

It’s important to stay on top of the wide receiver situations and any depth chart changes throughout each week of the fantasy football season, so be sure to check back regularly. By staying on top of all the depth charts changes, preseason position battles, and in-season injuries, you can draft the right receivers, adjust your rosters off the waiver wire, find sleepers, potential breakouts, and dominate your fantasy football leagues.

All WR1/WR2/WR3 listings are based off current Fantasy Football projections, not NFL depth chart values. Players listed under "Dynasty Value" have increased value in a Dynasty league.

AFC EAST: Fantasy Football Wide Receiver (WR) Depth Charts

Baller Stability Rating Team
Name
Primary Wide Receiver (WR1) Second Wide Receiver (WR2) WR3 & Longshots Dynasty Value
Solid Patriots Julian Edelman Danny Amendola Aaron Dobson N/A
Solid Jets Brandon Marshall Eric Decker Quincy Enunwa N/A
Solid Bills Sammy Watkins Percy Harvin Robert Woods Sammy Watkins
Questionable Dolphins Jarvis Landry Rishard Matthews Kenny Stills DeVante Parker

The Patriots wide receivers are pretty much set in stone, with all three players listed here falling behind Rob Gronkowski as the primary pass-catcher on the team. Brandon LaFell is a few weeks away from a return, so this shouldn't change any time soon.

The Jets situation is also stable, with veterans Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker leading the way on a weekly basis. Decker is dealing with a knee injury and questionable to play this week, which should lead to an increased role from Quincy Enunwa.

Percy Harvin has actually made his way up the depth chart to the number two spot, as it appears the Bills do have some intention of making him an actual wide receiver versus a pure gadget guy. Watkins is still the only person I'd feel comfortable rostering, and his ceiling is as a WR3 at the moment.

The Dolphins seem to like Rishard Matthews a bit more than anyone anticipated, as he's had two solid weeks in a row. He's seemingly become the number two behind Jarvis Landry (who is still a target hog), and likely won't be challenged for the role until DeVante Parker starts to see more snaps.

AFC WEST: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers (WR) Depth Charts

Baller Stability Rating Team
Name
Primary Wide Receiver (WR1) Second Wide Receiver (WR2) WR3 & Longshots Dynasty Value
Solid Broncos Demaryius Thomas Emmanuel Sanders Jordan Norwood Cody Latimer
Solid Chiefs Jeremy Maclin De'Anthony Thomas Jason Avant Albert Wilson
Solid Raiders Amari Cooper Michael Crabtree Andre Holmes Amari Cooper
Solid Chargers Keenan Allen Stevie Johnson Malcom Floyd Keenan Allen

While the top receivers on each of these teams is unquestioned, the back end of each corps has a few question marks. Peyton Manning looked much better in Week 2, and peppered Emmanuel Sanders with targets, making him a low-end WR1/high-end WR2. Jordan Norwood was actually the third-most targeted Bronco in Week 2 (tying Owen Daniels with five) and seems to have quietly taken over at the third receiver.

Amari Cooper broke out in a big way in Week 2, showing exactly why he'll likely be the top rookie wide receiver in 2015. Michael Crabtree also showed he has something left in the tank, and as long as Derek Carr is playing well Cooper is a WR2 and Crabtree has flex consideration.

Keenan Allen returned to Earth after a monster performance in Week 1, but he's still the top receiver in San Diego. Stevie Johnson has proven he can be the second option, and should continue to get decent looks until Antonio Gates returns.

AFC NORTH: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers (WR) Depth Charts

Baller Stability Rating Team
Name
Primary Wide Receiver (WR1) Second Wide Receiver (WR2) WR3 & Longshots Dynasty Value
Questionable Ravens Steve Smith Kamar Aiken Breshad Perriman Breshad Perriman
Questionable Steelers Antonio Brown Darrius Heyward-Bey Markus Wheaton Martavis Bryant
Solid Bengals A.J. Green Marvin Jones Mohamed Sanu N/A
Questionable Browns Travis Benjamin Andrew Hawkins Brian Hartline/Taylor Gabriel N/A

In Baltimore, it seems to be Steve Smith and then everybody else. We'll continue to monitor Breshad Perriman's situation, but I don't see any fantasy relevance coming any time soon.

Until Martavis Bryant returns, the situation is similar in Pittsburgh--it's Antonio Brown and then everybody else. Darrius Heyward Bey seems to have leap-frogged Markus Wheaton on the depth chart, but I'm not rostering him in any format, as his relevance will likely fade with Bryant's return.

Travis Benjamin has had two big games, but I'm still not trusting any Browns wide receiver. Johnny Manziel attempted just 15 passes in Week 2, and the volume still won't be there for any player to be consistently relevant.

AFC SOUTH: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers (WR) Depth Charts

Baller Stability Rating Team
Name
Primary Wide Receiver (WR1) Second Wide Receiver (WR2) WR3 & Longshots Dynasty Value
Solid Colts T.Y. Hilton Andre Johnson Donte Moncrief Phillip Dorsett, Donte Moncrief
Solid Texans Deandre Hopkins Nate Washington Cecil Shorts III Jaelen Strong
Volatile Titans Kendall Wright Harry Douglas Justin Hunter Dorial Green-Beckham, Kendall Wright
Questionable Jaguars Allen Robinson Allen Hurns Marqise Lee Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee

The Colts pecking order is pretty solid, with Donte Moncrief appearing to have a firm grip on the number three role. Dorsett is waiting in the wings though, and is worth a stash in case someone suffers a long-term injury.

The Titans depth chart is worth keeping an eye on. Kendall Wright is likely the firm number one, but after that it gets a bit hazy. Harry Douglas was almost non-existent in Week 2, and while Justin Hunter didn't do much either he was a factor. Dorial Green-Beckham hasn't emerged yet but I believe it's only a matter of time.

Allen Robinson rewarded fantasy owners who were patient with him, ripping off 155 yards and two touchdowns on six catches. He is the clear number one, with Allen Hurns the fairly clear number two. There was a Marqise Lee sighting in Week 2, and I expect him to be the third option if he stays healthy.

NFC EAST: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers (WR) Depth Charts

Baller Stability Rating Team
Name
Primary Wide Receiver (WR1) Second Wide Receiver (WR2) WR3 & Longshots Dynasty Value
Solid Giants Odell Beckham Victor Cruz (INJ) Rueben Randle Odell Beckham Jr.
Questionable Eagles Jordan Matthews Nelson Agholor Riley Cooper Josh Huff, Nelson Agholor, Jordan Matthews
Solid Cowboys Terrance Williams Cole Beasley Devin Street Dez Bryant (INJ)
Solid Redskins Desean Jackson Pierre Garcon Ryan Grant N/A

Victor Cruz is supposed to return in Week 4, but nobody besides Odell Beckham Jr. is doing much in his absence. Rueben Randle and Preston Parker were non-factors in Week 2, so Cruz's return can't come soon enough for Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin. Expect him to be a WR3 when healthy.

Jordan Matthews salvaged a horrendous Week 2 performance with six catches for 80 yards and a touchdown in the waning minutes of the fourth quarter, but I'm not concerned about him in the long haul. The Eagles will figure things out, and Matthews is the resident target monster. The offense has been so bad there isn't even much analysis to be done on the rest of the corps, but I imagine we'll see Nelson Agholor rise to prominence soon.

With Dez Bryant and Tony Romo both injured for quite some time, I don't see any fantasy value here outside of Terrance Willams, who MIGHT warrant flex consideration. I'll tell you one thing -- Matt Cassell is not the answer.

The Redskins are officially a run-first team, with Matt Jones and Alfred Morris garnering 19 and 19 carries respectively in Week 2. Pierre Garcon is the current number one with DeSean Jackson injured, and Ryan Grant is a desperation stash. There isn't much to like in Washington.

NFC WEST: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers (WR) Depth Charts

Baller Stability Rating Team
Name
Primary Wide Receiver (WR1) Second Wide Receiver (WR2) WR3 & Longshots Dynasty Value
Questionable 49ers Anquan Boldin Torrey Smith Quinton Patton N/A
Solid Seahawks Doug Baldwin Jermaine Kearse Tyler Lockett/Chris Matthews Tyler Lockett
Questionable Cardinals Larry Fitzgerald John Brown Michael Floyd John Brown
Volatile Rams Kenny Britt Stedman Bailey Brian Quick/Tavon Austin N/A

Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith are sort of a 1A/1B in San Francisco, with Boldin gathering more targets and Smith having the higher touchdown potential. I like Boldin's consistency more, and he'll be a WR3 on most weeks.

The Seahawks still don't throw enough for me to trust any wide receiver on a weekly basis. If I'm picking one it's Doug Baldwin. He'll see his targets every week and should finish the year with five or six touchdowns, making him an average flex play. After him it gets sketchy, as Jermaine Kearse didn't even have a catch in Week 2 and Tyler Lockett had just two for 17 yards.

Larry Fitzgerald reminded everyone why he's still the number one in Arizona, hanging 112 yards and three touchdowns on the hapless Bears in Week 2. Michael Floyd returned after an injury kept him out of most of the preseason and Week 1, but wasn't a factor. Surprisingly Jaron Brown caught a touchdown in Week 2, but this is more of an anomaly than anything.

The Rams receiving corps has been like the plague so far, with no receiver having more than two catches in Week 2. Until Brian Quick returns, and it's been reported there's a chance he suits up Week 3, I don't think we'll get any clarification on who will lead the team in receiving yards or catches this Sunday. Don't be fooled - Quick is the WR1 here when healthy, which will make him a WR3/FLEX option in standard leagues.

NFC NORTH: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers (WR) Depth Charts

Baller Stability Rating Team
Name
Primary Wide Receiver (WR1) Second Wide Receiver (WR2) WR3 & Longshots Dynasty Value
Solid Packers Randall Cobb Davante Adams James Jones Davante Adams, Ty Montgomery
Solid Lions Calvin Johnson Golden Tate Lance Moore N/A
Solid Bears Alshon Jeffery Eddie Royal Marquess Wilson Kevin White
Solid Vikings Mike Wallace Charles Johnson Cordarrelle Patterson N/A

James Jones just won't stay out of the end zone, and is making everyone think about him as a flex option. It's hard to argue with results, and he's producing them. Speaking of production, Ty Montgomery actually put up more yardage than Davante Adams in Week 2, but I think that's not something that we'll see consistently. Randall Cobb is still a locked in WR1.

Look, Matt Stafford--good things happen when you target Calvin Johnson! Megatron returned to form with 10 catches for 83 yards and a touchdown in Week 2, and should be a fantasy stud as long as he's healthy. Golden Tate is a WR3 for me with WR2 upside, and nobody else is worth consideration.

NFC SOUTH: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers (WR)

Baller Stability Rating Team
Name
Primary Wide Receiver (WR1) Second Wide Receiver (WR2) WR3 & Longshots Dynasty Value
Questionable Saints Brandin Cooks Marques Colston Brandon Coleman Brandin Cooks
Questionable Falcons Julio Jones Roddy White Leonard Hankerson N/A
Volatile Panthers Corey Brown Ted Ginn Jr. Jerricho Cotchery Devin Funchess, Kelvin Benjamin
Solid Buccaneers Mike Evans Vincent Jackson Louis Murphy Mike Evans

Just when you think you have the Saints figured out, they go and pull this nonsense. Marques Colston actually led the Saints in yardage in Week 2 while Brandin Cooks led in receptions. Who had the lone touchdown you ask? Well, Willie Snead of course. Brandon Coleman is also a consideration, and honestly this might be one of those situations to avoid outside of Brandin Cooks. Take a lesson from the Backstreet Boys, Sean Payton--quit playing games with my heart.

I got many questions over the course of Week 2, but one was repeated several times--is Roddy White hurt? He was not hurt, but he was held without a catch while Leonard Hankerson puled up 77 yards and a touchdown on six catches and a whopping 11 targets. Might we see a changing of the guard in Atlanta soon?

Cam Newton has miracled his way to a 2-0 record with this sorry group of veterans, and I'm not quite sure how. Oh yeah, they played the Jaguars and Texans. That's how. I'm still avoiding anyone and everyone here, as none of them will be consistent enough to warrant anything other than a desperation flex start. Devin Funchess only has two catches through two games, and a break out doesn't appear imminent.

Mike Evans was apparently held on a "pitch count" as he returned from a lingering hamstring injury in Week 2. I don't expect this to be the case going forward, but Vincent Jackson hauled in a touchdown and solidified his case for this being a 1A/1B situation. Louis Murphy had a pretty nice game as well (three catches for 82 yards) and would have flex value should one of these two miss significant time.
