Week 18 FLEX Outlooks for Fantasy Football
Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers - Fantasy Football Outlook
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen has been a bright spot for the Carolina Panthers of late and a reliable target for young quarterback Bryce Young. In Week 17 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Thielen caught five of his six targets for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Over the past five weeks, Thielen has put up 13 plus fantasy points in four of those contests.
Thielen, a two-time pro-bowler for the Minnesota Vikings (2017, 2018), has lost a step or two with his age (34) but is finishing the 2024 campaign strong and is in a prime spot to continue to do so in Week 18 against the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are stout against the run. However, they have given up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers on the season. Fantasy managers can confidently start Thielen as a WR2 in Week 18.

Rico Dowdle, Dallas Cowboys - Fantasy Football Outlook
Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle will look to top off his surprising breakout season in Week 18 against the Washington Commanders with a splash. The 26-year-old has rushed for over 100 yards in four of his last five games and now faces a solid matchup against Washington's 20th-ranked run defense. He will look to solidify his finish as an RB2 on the season. Dowdle is in RB1 territory heading into the season's finale and should be started in any leagues that run into Week 18.

J.K. Dobbins, Los Angeles Chargers - Fantasy Football Outlook
Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins is a high-risk but high-upside option in a Week 18 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chargers enter the weekend with some uncertainty around Sunday's game. Depending on the results of Saturday's games, the Bolts could be shooting for the No. 5 seed with a win, or could be locked into the No. 6 seed regardless of their own game's result.
If they have the five seed to play for, the Chargers are sure to go all-in with their starters, making Dobbins an easy RB2 with upside. If they end up in a meaningless game however, Dobbins could sit out entirely or play in a limited role to rest for the playoffs. Essentially, Dobbins is an RB2 if the Bengals win on Saturday, and too risky to start (unless coach Jim Harbaugh commits to his starters regardless) if they don't.
