Week 17 Running Back Outlooks for Fantasy Football
Jerome Ford, Cleveland Browns - Fantasy Football Outlook
Cleveland Browns running back Jerome Ford has shown a penchant for big plays of late, ripping off a 62 and a 66-yard run over his past two games. He will look to stay hot at home against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17.
The Dolphins have been solid against fantasy running backs this season, allowing just the 20th-most fantasy points per game to the position. That being said, Ford has shown himself to be dangerous in the passing game and the Browns should skew run-heavy with Dorian Thompson-Robinson slated to make the start. Treat Ford as a mid-range RB2 heading into Week 17 against Miami.

Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints - Fantasy Football Outlook
New Orleans Saints running back Kendre Miller was the odds-on favorite to assume the role as the team's featured back after Alvin Kamara (groin) was declared out before Week 16. Unfortunately for Miller, that game turned into a blowout early on and the coaching staff pivoted to a two-minute offense that involved a surprisingly heavy dose of Jordan Mims.
Miller finished the game with a 40% snap share to Mims' 43% and logged just 10 touches for a total of 31 yards from scrimmage. Miller is expected to sit atop the depth chart again in Week 17 but seeing how quickly the Saints moved away from him last week should give fantasy managers pause before entrusting him with a starting spot in the final week of fantasy football.
Additionally, New Orleans will be missing starting linemen Erik McCoy (elbow) and Lucas Patrick (knee). Managers hoping to lock up a championship this weekend should weigh their alternatives before locking Miller in.
- Dan Stephens, RotoBaller
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans - Fantasy Football Outlook
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears is playing like he was built for fantasy football playoffs and draws a plus matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 17. His two best performances of the season have come in the last two weeks, with a pair of touchdowns in each showing.
For PPR leagues, Spears is an especially exciting player, hauling in nine receptions for 126 yards over his last two appearances. And Spears is rostered in just 61% of Yahoo Fantasy leagues, making him a top-tier waiver wire target for Week 17.
Titans lead back Tony Pollard (ankle) has not participated in practice at all this week and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Jacksonville. Whether or not he suits up, Spears is bound to have more attention in Tennessee's offense. The Jaguars give up the second-most points to opposing fantasy running backs this year. View Spears as a safe RB2/RB3 with boom potential for this weekend.
