Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 17
Only players who are rostered in fewer than 50% of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.
Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers (vs. Minnesota Vikings)
Crosby is coming off his best fantasy performance of the season, scoring 14 points on kicks. Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay offense have seemingly turned their early-season woes around, so he's back on the fantasy radar. Minnesota's defense has been laughably bad in recent weeks, and the game total of 47 points sets up well for the veteran place-kicker.
Michael Badgley, Detroit Lions (vs. Chicago Bears)
Badgley was the No. 2 fantasy kicker from Week 10 to Week 15 before having a down performance in the frigid temperatures in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers. However, the Lions are back home this week in a dome and face an awful Chicago Bears' defense. This game also sets up for a shootout at a 51.5 projected point total.
Riley Patterson, Jacksonville Jaguars (at Houston Texans)
Patterson is a top-8 fantasy kicker on the season, and the Jaguars offense led by Trevor Lawrence is trending as one of the best in the NFL. Houston is terrible all the way around, so expect the Jags to flex their muscles on offense in this AFC South matchup.
Kicker Busts to Avoid for Week 17
Matt Prater, Arizona Cardinals (at Atlanta Falcons)
Prater is a veteran kicker who was once in the superstar category when it comes to fantasy kickers, but he's now tied to an awful offense led by Colt McCoy or Trace McSorley. Of course, that can set up for a ton of field goal opportunities, but it's smart to play kickers from offenses you trust, first and foremost.
Wil Lutz, New Orleans Saints (at Philadelphia Eagles)
Lutz has struggled in recent weeks as the New Orleans Saints offense has taken a huge regression and he should be avoided against the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. The Eagles are coming off their worst defensive performance of the year, so look for a get-right game against a bunch of Saints' backups in Week 17.
