New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has put up some decent passing numbers in the past two games, totaling 618 yards and three touchdowns. What is slightly startling is the fact that he has thrown more interceptions (four) in these games than he has found the end zone. However, it is worth noting that the New York Giants face off against the Miami Dolphins in Week 14.
The Dolphins are in the bottom third of the league in allowing points to fantasy football quarterbacks. The Giants as a team are in desperate need of a bounce-back game and Sun Life Stadium in Miami against the Dolphins will be the place to have it. With no real running game to speak of Manning will have to throw the ball downfield more. You also can't expect the high interception rate to continue, especially against a poor Dolphins secondary. Consider Eli a QB2 for Week 14 with QB1 upside.
What also makes Manning an even better fantasy football start is the fact that he has wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham is far and away the most dynamic wide receiver Manning has, and he continues to be a dominant big-play threat. One-handed grabs and diving touchdown catches have become routine for the second-year dynamo. Beckham has caught a touchdown in each of the last three games and has eclipsed the 100-yard receiving mark in five straight games. Look for Manning to continue to find OBJ in the passing game as often as possible.
