The full slate of games in Week 13 means fantasy managers have a wide selection of kickers available. While this variety is beneficial, it also makes choosing the right option more challenging. The kicker position, often overlooked, can still make a significant impact in tight matchups as the fantasy playoffs approach.
Certain kickers benefit from advantageous matchups and efficient offenses, while tough opponents or inconsistent scoring chances hold others back. Picking the right player for the week is critical to optimizing your roster and gaining an edge over your competition.
I will highlight three kickers set up for success and two better left on your bench for Week 13. Each recommendation is based on trends, matchups, and offensive dynamics to help you make the most informed decision possible.

Kicker Streamers to Target for Week 13
Only players rostered in fewer than 60% of fantasy football leagues are considered streamers.
Chase McLaughlin (TB) at Carolina Panthers
38.2% Rostered on Sleeper
A model of consistency this season, Chase McLaughlin has quietly become a top-10 kicker in fantasy football. His steady production has made him a sturdy option for managers seeking stability at the position.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Week 12 victory over the New York Giants further cemented the 28-year-old's status. He hit all but one of his four extra-point attempts and converted his only field goal, continuing a season marked by accuracy and efficiency. Across the year, McLaughlin has made 17 of his 18 field goal attempts and missed just two extra points.

The Buccaneers face the Carolina Panthers in Week 13, presenting McLaughlin with a promising matchup. Carolina allows the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing kickers, which pairs perfectly with Tampa Bay's ability to generate scoring opportunities. Whether through field goals or extra points, the Illinois product is in an excellent position to deliver another outstanding performance.
McLaughlin is an easy choice this week for managers aiming to lock in an exceptional option at kicker who remains valuable for the playoff stretch.
Brandon McManus (GB) vs. Miami Dolphins
9.7% Rostered on Sleeper
The Green Bay Packers' offense is firing on all cylinders, and Brandon McManus has been a beneficiary of their recent success. A dominant outing in Week 12 underscored his reliability, as he converted all five extra point attempts and his sole field goal in Green Bay's 28-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
This is a bit hard to believe, but the Packers just attempted their first FG of 50 or more yards this season. Brandon McManus good from 51.
Packers lead the 49ers 10-0 with 11 seconds left in the first half.

Week 13 provides the Temple alum with an ideal contest against the Miami Dolphins. Miami's defense has struggled to contain opposing kickers, giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to the position. With Green Bay's offense maintaining momentum, McManus is poised for another productive outing.
One of the veteran kicker's strengths is his ability to deliver from long distances, and he remains an excellent choice for fantasy managers seeking steady production.
His availability on waivers in many leagues makes the kicker a perfect streaming option for those looking to solidify their lineup.
Matthew Wright (KC) vs. Las Vegas Raiders
0% Rostered on Sleeper
A top option to start in Week 13 is Matthew Wright of the Kansas City Chiefs, who steps into the starting role due to injuries to both Harrison Butker (knee) and Spencer Shrader (hamstring). Initially, Shrader seemed like the clear play in a favorable matchup this week, but his absence shifts the focus to Wright.
Having previously kicked for Kansas City in 2022, the 28-year-old is familiar with the team. Wright also kicked earlier this season in Week 6 for the San Francisco 49ers when Jake Moody was injured. Wright was sidelined himself with an injury shortly after but is now healthy and prepared to step up.
Chiefs elevated Matthew Wright to their active roster to kick in Friday’s game against the Raiders.

This week, the UCF product faces the Las Vegas Raiders in the Black Friday game. The Raiders are the most generous defense to opposing kickers, conceding the most fantasy points per game to the position.
With Kansas City's offense expected to create multiple scoring opportunities, Wright is positioned to capitalize. His ability to slot seamlessly into the lineup and the favorable matchup makes him a strong streaming option for Week 13.
Kickers to Avoid for Week 13
Evan McPherson (CIN) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
45.5% Rostered on Sleeper
While Evan McPherson has a strong leg and a history of success, his recent form and Week 13 matchup raise red flags. The Cincinnati Bengals battle the Pittsburgh Steelers, a defense that surrenders the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to kickers.
McPherson's last performance in Week 11 left much to be desired. The Florida alum struggled in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, missing two field goals from long range. This inconsistency on deeper kicks has made him a risky option in recent weeks.
The Steelers defense often limits opposing offenses, reducing scoring chances for kickers. Given McPherson's recent troubles and a challenging opponent, managers would be wise to look elsewhere for Week 13.
Matt Gay (IND) at New England Patriots
11.7% Rostered on Sleeper
Matt Gay has enjoyed a solid season overall, but Week 13 is not the time to rely on him. The Indianapolis Colts take on the New England Patriots, a team that has been average against kickers but presents challenges due to Indianapolis' offensive inconsistencies.
In Week 12, the 2019 draft pick accounted for all of the Colts' points in their 24-6 loss to the Detroit Lions, knocking in two field goals. While his accuracy remains a strength, Indianapolis' inability to sustain drives has limited his chances to generate meaningful fantasy points.
With the Patriots' defense capable of stalling drives, Gay's ceiling remains low this week. Managers should pivot to a kicker with a higher upside for Week 13.
