Week 10 Red Zone Risers and Fallers: Players With Scoring Potential

Potential Week 10 fantasy football sleepers and busts. RotoBaller's red zone tool identifies player TD scoring potential based on touches and opportunity.

It's getting dangerously close to playoff time and finding players with scoring potential is more crucial than ever. Let's keep digging through the stats to find great values at the skill positions. Just like targets are the lifeblood of a receiver's value in PPR leagues, red zone touches are the most relevant factor to consider for standard leagues.

In this article each week, we'll identify red zone risers and fallers who could see their fantasy value impacted by usage in the most critical area of the field. RotoBaller's Red Zone Sleepers tool is a great way to get an edge on the competition by identifying players with greater scoring opportunities.

Let's take a look at which players could be touchdown risers or fallers in fantasy football for Week 10 of the 2017 NFL season, based on red zone opportunities.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Red Zone Risers

RUNNING BACK

C.J. Anderson (RB, DEN) - 27.2% Red-zone touch%

C.J. Anderson owners this year have been thoroughly disappointed with the running back's production in the 2017 season. After a strong start in the first two games of the year, the Broncos backfield has been a three headed revolving door made up of Jamaal Charles, Devontae Booker, and the aforementioned Anderson. However, it is worth noting that Anderson has been receiving the bulk of the red-zone touches with 22 out of 81 red-zone plays. If nothing else, Anderson may get you that touchdown this Sunday against the Patriots. Start him as your flex and pray for a touchdown dance, because if he falls short of the endzone his points will be minimal.

WIDE RECEIVER

Davante Adams (WR, GB) - 20.9% Red-zone touch%

Since all-pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down, Davante Adams owners have been feeling the effects in terms of production. Quarterback Brett Hundley clearly isn't the same type of quarterback, but he has been targeting Adams the most out of Green Bay's wide receivers. Last week he found Adams for a team leading seven catches on 10 targets. Adams is third amongst all wide receivers in red-zone touch percentage and should be considered a middle-end WR2 in Week 10 against Chicago Bears.

TIGHT END

Kyle Rudolph (TE, MIN) - 13.1% Red-zone touch%

Kyle Rudolph has had a solid season so far. Not bad considering he is still missing his primary quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater. Rudolph has seen eight targets out of his teams 61 red-zone plays with three touchdowns and is currently fifth among tight ends in red-zone touch percentage. Continue to start Rudolph in your TE1 slot this coming week against the Washington Redskins.

Red Zone Fallers

RUNNING BACK

Alex Collins (RB, BAL) - 4.8% Red-zone touch%

Alex Collins has already found himself on the red-zone fallers list season, but it is worth mentioning him again. Out of all the running backs who play on a consistent basis and get at least half of their teams touches, Alex Collins is by far the worst in getting handoffs in the red-zone. How bad you ask? Alex Collins has a total of 93 rushing attempts this season and only has four red-zone touches out of the 93. Javorius "Buck" Allen continues to get the red-zone plays, so if you're starting Collins don't expect six points for a touchdown anytime soon. He has scored zero all year.

WIDE RECEIVER

Golden Tate (WR, DET) - 7.8% Red-zone touch%

Golden Tate has been a great receiver this season. He compiles a lot of catches and has the most yards after contact than any receiver in the NFL. He's great between the 20's but does not seem to get a lot of attention where it matters. Tate only has six touches out of Detroit's 77 red-zone plays. Marvin Jones currently ranks higher. Nevertheless, Tate has put up WR2 numbers all season and you should never be taking him out of your lineup.

TIGHT END

Jack Doyle (TE, IND) - 6.2% Red-zone touch%

Tight end Jack Doyle has been a hot pickup in the past couple of weeks for his play. In the past four weeks Doyle has 33 catches for 278 yards and two touchdowns. What he lacks is red-zone touches with only four out of the Colt's 65 plays. However, Doyle is a force to be reckoned with and should continue to see the starting lineup no matter who they play on a week-to-week basis.
