The NASCAR Cup Series ran the Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen on Sunday afternoon, and it was William Byron who led 66 of the 90 laps en route to his series-best fifth win of the 2023 season.
When it came to Green Flag Speed, Byron was the fastest during the race. He was followed in Green Flag Speed by Ty Gibbs, who finished in 5th-place, with Michael McDowell ending up 3rd-fastest. It must be noted that McDowell suffered mechanical issues during the race and finished dead last (36th-place) despite leading 17 laps and winning the first Stage.
A couple of other notables that ranked higher in Green Flag Speed than they finished were Kyle Larson (7th-fastest but finished 26th) and Austin Dillon (13th-fastest but finished 31st). All of the top-five finishers on Sunday ranked 6th or better when it came to Green Flag Speed.
