The Go Bowling at The Glen was run at Watkins Glen this past Sunday with William Byron getting his fifth win of the season (and first-ever at a road course) in dominating fashion. Byron led 66 of the 90 laps and had an Average Running Position of 1.34 during the race.
The 2nd-place finisher was pole-sitter, Denny Hamlin, and he also had the 2nd-best Average Running Position (2.38). A couple of notables here that finished worse than they ran were Bubba Wallace (finished 12th but ranked 6th-best in Average Running Position) as well as Kyle Larson (finished 26th but ranked 8th-best in Average Running Position).
All of the top-five finishers in this race also ranked inside the top five when it came to Average Running Position, which we don't see very often. This is the second race in a row that this has happened, both of which were road course events.
