ANALYSIS: Over the past 6 games Miami is averaging 12.83 fantasy points per game, and has been one of the NFL's top overall defensive units thus far in 2014 (the Dolphins had a bye week already, so this encompasses their entire season).
This Week 8 intra-state matchup versus the offensively challenged Jaguars shouldn't be too tough of a game for the NFL's 11th highest scoring defense. Couple that with the fact that Jacksonville allows the most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses and we have ourselves the #1 defense waiver wire pickup for Week 8. At a meager 54% owned, we believe there is a good chance they are available on many of your league's wavier wires, so don't flinch about adding them for a glorious stream in Week 8 as a bye week fill in, or just a short term replacement for a struggling bunch (we're specifically thinking about a team who's head coach is a former Jets head honcho).
