Los Angeles Rams - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Rams will look to keep things rolling after picking up a 31-27 over the Atlanta Falcons. Despite the straight up win, the Rams did not cover the spread. They went into the matchup as -10.5 point favorites. With their combined 58 points, the two teams exceeded the betting over-under number of 46. In their win over Atlanta, the Rams held a 18 point lead heading into the 4th quarter at 28-10. However, their 4 was not enough to cover the point spread.

With their 31 points, Los Angeles had an above average game compared to last year's season average of 27.06 points per game. Los Angeles did a good in the run game vs Atlanta, compiling 65 on 26 carries. Although Darrell Henderson Jr. did not come away with a huge yardage total, he did pick up a rushing touchdown.

Matthew Stafford was able to rack up 272 passing yards on an overall passer rating of 100.69. Stafford completed 3 passes for touchdowns. Los Angeles pass-catcher Cooper Kupp had a big game for the team, finishing with 2 touchdowns on 108 yards. Los Angeles throws the ball 38.5 times per game, ranking them 9th in the league. Going into the game, the Rams have thrown a total of 5.0 interceptions, coming on a passing completion percentage of 72.85% (4th).

As a defensive unit, the Rams currently rank 16th in overall yards allowed. So far, the team's defense has allowed 5 scores through the air and 1 on the ground. Opposing quarterbacks have put together an average passer rating of 98.79 vs the team's defense.

 

Arizona Cardinals - NFL Betting Analysis

This week, the Cardinals will look to keep things rolling after picking up a non-conference win over the Las Vegas Raiders (29-23). Going into last week's matchup, Arizona was 5.5 point underdogs on the spread. With their combined 52 points, the teams matched the betting line of 52. Arizona went into the 4th quarter of the game trailing by 16 at 23-7, but still came back to win and cover the spread as underdogs.

Heading into the game, the Cardinals have just 1 offensive interception, good for a rank of 16th in the the league.

Currently, the Cardinals defense is ranked just 28th in overall yards allowed. So far, the team's defense has allowed 7 scores through the air and 1 on the ground. This season, the Cardinals have struggled to get off the field in 3rd down situations, allowing opponents to convert at a rate of 57.9%.
