ANALYSIS: Vance McDonald could have a sneaky-high ceiling should he beat out Garrett Celek for the 49ers’ starting TE spot. He has decent chemistry with QB Blaine Gabbert, and with safety valve slot-man Bruce Ellington out for the season, McDonald could be the hot read. Don’t look to San Francisco’s offense for any gold, but those in deeper PPR formats who would settle for some silver may be pleased with what they find in McDonald.
