ANALYSIS: Due to Friday's news that Atlanta's top wide receiver Drake London will miss the team's Week 9 tilt against the Minnesota Vikings, Falcons wide receiver Van Jefferson is suddenly fantasy relevant.

Jefferson was shipped from the Los Angeles Rams to the Falcons in a trade earlier this season but has been rather quiet since joining Arthur Smith's run-heavy squad, amassing just four catches for 29 yards across his three games with Atlanta.
While those numbers aren't going to get fantasy managers too excited, it should be noted that Jefferson saw his most usage since joining the Falcons after London exited last week's game in the third quarter and appears to have passed Mack Hollins - who logged just 14 snaps in Week 8 - on Atlanta's depth chart.
We can expect Jefferson to play a sizeable role in the Falcons' passing attack against Minnesota this week. The offense will also have Taylor Heinicke under center in place of Desmond Ridder, which should be considered an upgrade for all Atlanta pass catchers.
Jefferson's biggest target competition will likely come in the form of running back Bijan Robinson and the tight-end duo of Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith. Even though he'll be serving as Atlanta's de facto WR 1, fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from Jefferson in this run-centric offense. He's on the radar as a hail-mary Flex option for those managers in desperate need in Week 9.
