DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 3 UFL DFS Picks
Manny Wilkins - St. Louis Battlehawks vs. D.C. Defenders - $10,000
If people are hopping off the bandwagon after one disappointing performance, I'm booking a few tickets to stay on the train. The new Battlehawks QB posted just 12.3 DK points in Week 2 after smashing with 23.9 DK points in Week 1, so we may get suppressed ownership at his slate-high pricing. I'm not scared off because his usage remained the same week-over-week. He was efficient passing with a 12-for-16 line for 162 scoreless yards, but his nine rushes for 58 yards on the ground have my attention. St. Louis still won the game easily, but all three rushing scores went to star RB Jacob Saylors.
The matchup against the Defenders doesn't jump off the page as they have a solid defense, but the game has the second-highest implied total on the slate (38.5 points). D.C. also has been a bit susceptible on the ground as they're allowing the fourth-most rushing yards per game (112.5) and the fourth-highest rushing yards per attempt (4.9) in the league. Wilkins should be able to do some damage on the ground here, and he'll be the QB we need to have if he punches in a score or two.
Wilkins has been given a questionable tag with a hamstring injury. If he's out, pivot to Bryce Perkins taking on the Brahams at home. San Antonio has been vulnerable through the air (highest completion rate allowed, second-highest efficiency rating allowed), and Perkins is averaging a solid 16.6 DK PPG.
DraftKings Running Backs - Week 3 UFL DFS Picks
Jacob Saylors - St. Louis Battlehawks vs. D.C. Defenders - $10,500
You can't (and probably shouldn't) play both Saylors and Wilkins in the same lineup, but I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't recommend getting to the former Browns/Giants/Falcons running back. He has been spectacular in the UFL, averaging an insane 27.3 DK PPG over two weeks this season. He's averaging 13.5 attempts, 72 rushing yards, 3.5 receptions, and 36 receiving yards per game, and he has four scores on the ground.
As mentioned, the Defenders can be exploited on the ground, and the game has a relatively high implied total. We don't want to miss out on the ceiling here.
John Lovett - San Antonio Brahmas @ Michigan Panthers - $6,200
DraftKings Wide Receivers and Tight Ends - Week 3 UFL DFS Picks
Jonathan Adams - Memphis Showboats vs. Houston Roughnecks - $7,600
Adams has been balling to start the year, and we can still take advantage of it because his price hasn't yet been adjusted. He has hauled 15-of-17 targets for 221 yards and a touchdown, leading to performances of 21.3 and 24.8 DK points so far this season. That's the best on the slate by a wide margin, and Houston is an excellent matchup as they've allowed the most passing yards, completions, attempts, and yards per completion in the UFL this season.
Marlon Williams - Birmingham Stallions vs. Arlington Renegades - $6,500
Williams had a great season last year, and while he is off to a subpar start this season, it's only a matter of time until he breaks out and his price rises dramatically. He caught 3-of-4 targets for 32 yards and 6.2 DK points in Week 2, his only game played. He gets a difficult matchup against the Renegades, but he'll be the de facto WR1 since leading receiver Deon Cain won't play in Week 3 for personal reasons.
