UCL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
PSG vs Manchester City
What a colossal matchup we have in this UCL semifinal. PSG host Manchester City (+115) in the first leg at Parc des Princes. Both of these teams were among the favorites to win it all back when the competition started in the fall, and now they meet just prior to the Final. PSG defeated a shorthanded Bayern Munich side to get to the semifinal round, while Manchester City took down Dortmund by a 4-2 aggregate score. As you can imagine, both teams are in very strong form domestically. These two teams are extremely potent attacking units that will be incredibly exciting to witness. There should be nonstop action at both ends of the pitch for 90 minutes. The goal total over/under is a whole goal higher than Tuesday's semifinal at 3.0.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Kylian Mbappe ($14) has been literally unstoppable this season. He's well on his way to a 40-goal season with 37 so far. He also has seven goals in his last five games for PSG. A matchup with Manchester City will never be easy, but he does have the best anytime scoring odds in this game at +130. I like his ability to create chances and get shots on target as well.
Angel di Maria ($10) is someone to pair with Mbappe with his assist upside and solid floor with chances created. Again, this isn't really the greatest matchup for either team, but di Maria is an affordable way to get some more good exposure to one of the attacks.
Riyad Mahez ($13) is my top Manchester City target with his floor/ceiling combination. He can rack up all kinds of peripherals (attacking and defensive) and this is a great game environment for him to do so. His goal upside is very solid as well at +210.
Phil Foden ($10) is too cheap here for the way he has been playing combined with his fantastic goal upside. He has three goals in his last four starts for City and is +210 to score against PSG Wednesday. Bernardo Silva ($8) is a nice cheap attacker to play. He does have goal/assist upside, but I really like his floor in this matchup against PSG. PSG allow the most interceptions and tackles in Ligue 1 which Silva can get at a good rate. He will be busy in this game which will probably be very openly played.
Idrissa Gueye ($5) is a nice deep value guy with his peripherals if you need someone to punt with for extra salary elsewhere.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Joao Cancelo ($10) is quite expensive on this slate, but he's still a nice play. He has the highest ceiling out of any defender on the slate, but he also has a good floor in this game with defensive peripherals. I mentioned above that PSG allow the most interceptions and tackles in France this year, and Cancelo happens to lead City in combined interceptions and tackles. He's going to be tough to prioritize on this slate with a stacked group of attackers which should only lower his ownership for those of you who have the salary to get him.
I think Abdou Diallo ($4) is 100% viable at minimum price in this matchup. In Premier League play, Manchester City allow tackles, interceptions, and blocks at a good rate. Diallo should be busy trying to contain City's high-power attack the whole game which will give him plenty of opportunities to get defensive stats. If he even scores 10 points at this price, that will be valuable. Plus, his price tag allows you to jam in more top attacking studs.
Ruben Dias ($6) is the third defender I'll consider on this slate unless we get an unexpected starter - which is possible given these two teams. He's fairly priced and can collect good defensive peripherals in this matchup.
Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
