UCL DFS Goalies
Goalies
Justin Bijlow - DK $4.7K || FD $10
Opponent - Lazio
Keepers on the slate will be tricky to find value in outside of the big favorites and even then, you are hoping for a clean sheet to hit it. Bring in Justin Bijlow. The keeper was not tested often by Lazio in the home 3-1 victory a week and a half ago, although he did make three saves in the win. Now in the reverse fixture, Lazio is desperate for a win as they are one Celtic win away from not even featuring in the Europa League.
Unfortunately for the hosts, they have already lost to Feyenoord once already -- mentioned above. With Lazio playing at home and needing a win, the narrative is there for Bijlow to see a handful of shots, providing the opportunity to make value from saves alone.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Ederson (DK $5.9K || FD $14), Butez (DK $3.8K || FD $7)
UCL DFS Forwards
Julian Alvarez - DK $9.7K || FD $23
Opponent - BSC Young Boys
After a shocking 6-1 victory for a Haaland-less Manchester City, it is expected that they will dominate the reverse fixture against Young Boys, who they already beat 3-1 away. In that match, Alvarez came on as a sub for 18 minutes and he produced one shot, two created chances, and one tackle. In his last five domestic appearances, he has two goals, 12 shots, nine created chances, 26 crosses, three tackles, and two clearances. As the biggest favorite on the slate and a large favorite at that, it would be surprising for City not to score at least three goals and Alvarez will be expected to be involved in some capacity.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Griezmann (DK $11K || FD $22), Paixao (DK $7.9K || FD $14)
UCL DFS Midfielders
Stephen Eustaquio - DK $7.2K || FD $17
Opponent - Royal Antwerp
In his third start of the 23-24 Champions League campaign, the midfield engine finally scored his first goal. He also managed two shots, one cross, two corners, three tackles, one interception, two clearances, and one block during the performance. Dating it back to his three performances this season, he has one goal, five shots, two created chances, five crosses, six corners, eight tackles, three interceptions, four clearances, and two blocks. In a matchup that Porto should dominate, Eustaquio will be one of the main pieces of the puzzle, especially with teammate Wendell out for this fixture.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Alberto (DK $8.1K || FD $17), O’Riley (DK $5.8K || FD $18)
UCL DFS Defenders
David Raum - DK $6.8K || FD $16
Opponent - Crvena Zvezda
Depending on the build for the slate, there are three options: David Raum, Alessandro Florenzi, or both. Each fullback will be in charge of set-pieces for their respective clubs with one major difference separating the two. David Raum will be playing away, but in a prime matchup with a potential clean sheet bonus, whereas Alessandro Florenzi will be playing at home but in a rather difficult fixture against French giants, PSG.
Rightfully so, David Raum is the more expensive of the two thanks to his matchup and his more cemented role on set-pieces for Leipzig. Over his three fixtures in the UCL, he has one goal, two assists, nine created chances, 27 crosses, 15 corners, four tackles, three interceptions, eight clearances, and two blocks.
Throughout his last five domestic fixtures, he has one goal, five shots, seven created chances, 51 crosses, 22 corners, six tackles, three interceptions, and seven clearances. It is apparent that he is playing a more advanced role in the UCL compared to the Bundesliga and he is expected to garner north of 15 percent ownership in the majority of contests.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Florenzi (DK $5.3K || FD $10), Mario (DK $4.7K || FD $13)
