BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/Flex
ANALYSIS: Tyler Lockett has been a stable flex option this season, but his contest this week is not ideal. He has a solid floor despite a difficult matchup.
With DK Metcalf dealing with a Grade 1 MCL sprain, Lockett's role could increase. Last week, Lockett caught four of six targets for 45 yards in the Seattle Seahawks' 34-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons, tying for the team lead in receptions.

Seattle faces the Buffalo Bills in Week 8. The Bills have allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. While Metcalf would be an instant start if playing in a better contest, the matchup makes it hard to trust him as your WR1 or WR2.
Metcalf's absence boosts Lockett's chances of having a big game, but the Bills' defense limits his upside. Jaxon Smith-Njigba might have the higher ceiling in this offense, but Lockett has a safe floor. Do not outright bench Lockett this week unless you're in a 10-team league. He can be a valuable flex in a time when injuries are overwhelming the WR position.

The wide receiver position has an advantage over the running back position in PPR scoring formats, typically. Not every WR is like this, though, […]
