Tyler Kinley is a fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for closers and saves in Week 12 (2024). Tyler Kinley is a good free agent waiver wire add for saves leagues.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 16+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Jalen Beeks may lead the Rockies in saves with six, but right-hander Tyler Kinley has picked up three saves over the last three weeks for Colorado and is now second on the team.
Kinley picked up his third save earlier this week and now has three saves and three wins on the season.

His ERA of 8.03 and WHIP of 1.82 are unsightly, but better days for his ratios are likely ahead as he has an xERA of 5.06 and xFIP of 4.60. He's getting somewhat unlucky with a massive .361 BABIP and a very low 62.8% strand rate.
The strikeouts have been solid as he has whiffed 27 over 24 2/3 frames. Most importantly, he's earning save opportunities. Even if it ends up being a committee situation with Beeks, Kinley could be a sneaky source of saves for teams in deep leagues where every closer (or even part-time closers) should really be rostered.
