BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues (12+ Teams) / All 2-Catcher Leagues
ANALYSIS: If you are still scrapping around for a first place finish in any leagues (like I am luckily in one lonely money league), then pay close attention because you may need that little extra production out of the catching slot, and we have your best shot at some fluke bombs down the stretch. Tyler Flowers hasn't surprised the White Sox or fantasy insiders with his per-at-bat production because he's always possessed the pop (as evidenced by his minor league track record and the HR/PA ratio he's shown previously in the majors), but never had the clear path to playing time. But he's been mashing recently, and now makes his appearance on our waiver wire sleepers list.
Everything seems to have come together for the 28 year old in 2014. In 418 plate appearances, he's hit a healthy 14 bombs and driven in 47 of his teammates. Looking like he wants to finish off this breakout campaign with a statement, the White Sox catcher is batting .389 with 4 of those homers and 6 RBI coming in the month of September. We say snag him off the waiver wire while he's hot, and see if you can catch lightning in a bottle, especially if you're struggling with a Yadier Molina or a Wilin Rosario type.
