BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 44% of leagues
ANALYSIS: For obvious reasons, it's rare that Rockies pitchers are recommended for regular use in fantasy leagues. However, Tyler Anderson's recent performance can't be ignored. The 28-year-old has logged quality starts in five of his last seven outings, posting sparkling ratios (2.09 ERA, 0.97 WHIP) and striking out over a batter per inning during that time. Making this run even more impressive is that four of those starts were at Coors Field, with two of the others at Great American and Citizens Bank Park. Overall, Anderson has pitched to a 3.76 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, with 102 strikeouts in 107 innings.
While his next appearance will mark the first time he's made at least 20 starts in his three MLB seasons, Anderson's career numbers (3.97 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 22.0 K%) are respectable even for a pitcher who doesn't contend with the thin air of Denver in half of his games. Fantasy owners have taken notice this week as his ownership rate has effectively doubled, but you can still scoop him up for free in nearly half of Yahoo leagues right now.
