BALLER MOVE: Start in 12-Plus Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-End RB4
ANALYSIS: While it can be hard for a non-Derrick Henry running back to carve out a role on the Tennessee Titans team, Tyjae Spears could have some value in deeper leagues heading into Week 15 when the Titans face the Houston Texans.
Spears has double-digit touches in the past two games for the Titans, and last week he finished with 118 yards from scrimmage, the most of his NFL career. While he only had 29 yards on the ground in that one, Spears made an impact in the passing game, catching six of his eight targets for 89 yards. He now has 14 targets and 10 receptions over the past two games.
This week, he gets a Texans defense that's done relatively well against rushing attacks, with Houston allowing the eighth-fewest rushing yards per game to opposing teams. However, Houston allows the eighth-most receptions per game to the running back position, something that could really play to Spears' strengths.
You can't necessarily feel good about starting Spears in the fantasy playoffs, but in a 12-team league where you really need a flex play, there are definitely worse options you could play this week.
