BALLER MOVE: Start in 12-Plus Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end RB2
ANALYSIS: With Alexander Mattison (ankle) out for Saturday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the team will turn to Ty Chandler as the team's starting running back this week.
Chandler had 12 carries for 35 yards last week against the Raiders, plus caught three passes for seven yards. That was the third time in the past four games that Chandler has had double-digit touches as the 2022 fifth-round pick has started to play a larger role for the Vikings.
This week, he faces a Bengals team that allows the ninth-most rushing yards per game. It's a good matchup for Chandler and offers him a chance to have the best game of his NFL career, though the fact that he has just one game this season with over 50 scrimmage yards makes this still a fairly risky play. Chandler is a good player, but Kene Nwangwu could wind up taking on some additional work, limiting Chandler's upside just a bit. He's right at the RB2/RB3 borderline this week and is an option in 12-team leagues, though there might be too much risk to play him in shallower leagues.
