BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 21% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: It may be hard to believe, but it appears that manager Brad Ausmus has actually learned from previous mistakes. Known for leaving closers in the ninth inning role for far too long, Ausmus pulled the plug on the struggling Cody Allen in late-April, giving the role to the much, much better Ty Buttrey.
In 12 innings so far this season, Buttrey has a 0.75 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 32.7% strikeout rate. His 1.20 FIP indicates that he has flat dominated so far this season, and now that he is in the ninth inning, he's a must-add in all fantasy formats.
If you need bullpen help, Buttrey is worth a high FAAB bid. He will regress a little bit at some point, but he has all the tools to be a top-15 closer in the big leagues, making him an asset in all fantasy formats. Don't miss out.
