It can be considered as fantasy baseball streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire run for leagues with weekly transactions.
There are 36 pitchers currently scheduled to make two starts during this period. We will be looking at pitchers who are less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues. Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers
Andrew Heaney (16% Rostered), Texas Rangers
Scheduled Starts: @ CHW, vs. OAK
In a week thin on serviceable options, Andrew Heaney is your man.
There have been some bumps along the road, but with a sub-4.00 FIP, 23.5% strikeout rate, and two of the league's worst offenses up next, you should feel comfortable streaming Andrew Heaney.
1,000 career strikeouts for Andrew Heaney! 🏆

Risky Two-Start Streamer Picks
Nick Martinez (30% Rostered), Cincinnati Reds
Scheduled Starts: vs. OAK, vs. MIL
Nick Martinez had his first truly bad start since rejoining the Reds rotation, allowing six runs across 4 1/3 innings to the Toronto Blue Jays. While he found success in a recent start against Milwaukee (one hit allowed across seven innings), don't bet on him stifling a top-10 Brewers offense again.
Kyle Gibson (28% Rostered), St. Louis Cardinals
Scheduled Starts: vs. SD, @ NYY
Still churning out innings at the age of 36, Kyle Gibson has settled at a decent performance floor with a 4.22 ERA, 21.9% strikeout rate, and 9% walk rate through 136 1/3 innings. Kyle Gibson has had his weeks this season, but you simply can't take a pitcher of his caliber against two top-10 offenses.
Michael Lorenzen (22% Rostered), Kansas City Royals
Scheduled Starts: @ CLE, @ HOU
A 3.47 ERA through 22 starts has kept Michael Lorenzen in the fantasy baseball conversation, but a 17.8% strikeout rate, 11.1% walk rate, and 5.00 FIP should push him out of our minds soon enough. Cleveland and Houston have slipped as of late, but both have more than enough talent to punish any of Lorenzen's mistakes this week.
Mitchell Parker (17% Rostered), Washington Nationals
Scheduled Starts: vs. NYY, vs. CHC
Mitchell Parker has lately had some very noticeable slip-ups (nine runs allowed to the Phillies across three innings the latest misstep), but he still maintains a solid 3.98 FIP and 20.2% strikeout rate.
He can probably handle the Chicago Cubs, but he clearly doesn't have the gas for a bout with a Yankees offense ranked second in scoring this season.

Edward Cabrera (14% Rostered), Miami Marlins
Scheduled Starts: @ COL, vs. SF
Edward Cabrera is always an interesting pitcher to follow, and his 5.65 ERA, 4.09 xFIP, 25.5% strikeout rate, and 13.3% walk rate in 2024 make this one of Cabrera's more interesting seasons. There's still something special there, but he isn't reliable enough to trust in a naturally volatile Coors Field start.
Kenta Maeda (11% Rostered), Detroit Tigers
Scheduled Starts: @ CHW, vs. BOS
Kenta Maeda -- with his 6.42 ERA -- doesn't have a shot against a Boston offense ranked fifth in scoring this season; you couldn't even trust the 36-year-old against a Chicago White Sox offense that just crossed into 400 runs on the season.
Yariel Rodriguez (9% Rostered), Toronto Blue Jays
Scheduled Starts: @ BOS, @ MIN
Yariel Rodriguez can offer some value as a streamer (24.4% strikeout rate, 4.13 xERA), but the rookie pitcher hasn't built up nearly enough goodwill to take him against two offenses that rank in the top-six of runs scored this season.
