Welcome RotoBallers to our Two-Start Pitcher Streamers article - Waiver Wire Streamers and Starts for Week 16, from July 8 to July 14. With multiple teams having six or seven games on their schedule, we're looking at a nice variety of two-start pitchers.

It can be considered as fantasy baseball streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire run for leagues with weekly transactions.
There are 38 pitchers currently scheduled to make two starts during this period. We will be looking at pitchers who are less than 50% owned in Yahoo leagues. Listed will be those who are rostered over 50%, those who are best available under 50%, and risky options under 50%. There are a few other two-start pitchers available, but they should be avoided.

Best Available Two-Start Pitcher Streamers
Christian Scott (24% Rostered), New York Mets
Scheduled Starts: @ PIT, vs. COL
Christian Scott has had a decent start to his MLB career, with a 3.91 FIP, 1.14 WHIP, 19.9% strikeout rate, and 5.9% walk rate through six starts. The top Mets prospect will face a Pirates offense ranked 22nd in scoring this season and the Colorado Rockies outside of Coors.
There’s still a decent amount of risk with Scott, given the lack of experience, but the ceiling is too high this week against two poor offenses.

Risky Two-Start Streamer Picks
Yusei Kikuchi (47% Rostered), Toronto Blue Jays
Scheduled Starts: @ SF, @ ARZ
Yusei Kikuchi has performed well this season, with a 4.12 ERA, 3.61 FIP, 24.6% strikeout rate, and 5.8% walk rate through 18 starts.
Unfortunately, the Giants and Diamondbacks offenses have also performed well this season, with Arizona and San Francisco ranking seventh and 13th, respectively, in runs scored this season. San Francisco holds a .756 OPS against LHP and Arizona holds a .767 OPS against LHP, so this week could get away from the southpaw Kikuchi.
Brayan Bello (44% Rostered), Boston Red Sox
Scheduled Starts: vs. OAK, vs. KC
Brayan Bello is amidst an awful season, with a 5.19 ERA, 4.56 FIP, 1.45 WHIP, 20.6% strikeout rate, and 8.7% walk rate through 15 starts. His failures have mostly come against weak offenses, with his worst starts coming against the Blue Jays (seven runs allowed across 2 ⅓ innings), White Sox (five runs allowed across 4 ⅔ innings), and Cardinals (five runs allowed across 4 ⅔ innings).
You can grasp at a 3.86 xFIP, career-high 104 Stuff+ grade, eight wins this season, and a recent gem against a bottom-feeding Marlins offense, but Bello just hasn’t shown enough to bet on him against a Kansas City offense tied for 12th in runs scored this season.
Jameson Taillon (39% Rostered), Chicago Cubs
Scheduled Starts: @ BAL, @ STL
Jameson Taillon has blown past expectations this season, with a 2.99 ERA, 3.79 FIP, 1.18 WHIP, 19.2% strikeout rate, and 5% walk rate through 14 starts this season.
However, you wouldn’t take many pitchers against a Baltimore offense tied for second in runs scored this season. It’s an unfortunate outcome, but you’ll have to wait a bit to stream Taillon.
Jon Gray (33% Rostered), Texas Rangers
Scheduled Starts: @ LAA, @ HOU
Jon Gray has had a solid season so far, with a 3.92 ERA, 3.51 FIP, 20.6% strikeout rate, and 6.4% walk rate through 15 starts this season. A 4.63 xERA and 1.38 WHIP are a bit scary; regardless, you wouldn’t take many pitchers against a Houston offense ranked fourth in scoring since June 1.
Colin Rea (33% Rostered), Milwaukee Brewers
Scheduled Starts: vs. PIT, vs. WAS
While the 3.34 ERA is great, it’s buried under a 16.8% strikeout rate, 5.15 xERA, 4.60 FIP, and 8.6% SwStr% rate. You might tempt fate against two lesser offenses, but this Washington offense is hot enough (12th in runs scored since June 1) to leave Rea aside.
Mitchell Parker (31% Rostered), Washington Nationals
Scheduled Starts: vs. STL, @ MIL
There’s enough to Mitchell Parker (3.61 ERA, 3.91 FIP, 1.10 WHIP, 5.2% walk rate) to stream him against a decent chunk of the league, but you’d likely draw the line at a Milwaukee offense ranked eighth in runs scored this season. Leave Parker for another week.
Dean Kremer (28% Rostered), Baltimore Orioles
Scheduled Starts: vs. CHC, vs. NYY
Dean Kremer returned to the mound after a seven-week stint on the IL, shutting out the Seattle Mariners over five innings. He’ll go into this week with a 3.93 ERA, 4.54 FIP, 1.09 WHIP, and 25.2% strikeout rate.
You’ll take him against most offenses, but you can’t trust him against a Yankees offense tied for second in scoring this season.

Miles Mikolas (21% Rostered), St. Louis Cardinals
Scheduled Starts: @ WAS, vs. CHC
Regardless of who he’s pitching against, you probably won’t want to stream Miles Mikolas (5.19 ERA, 17.3% strikeout rate). He’s got a cold Chicago offense on the slate, but it’s probably for the best to keep the 35-year-old off your roster this week.
Cal Quantrill (19% Rostered), Colorado Rockies
Scheduled Starts: @ CIN, @ NYM
The New York Mets are good again (second in runs scored since June 1), which means you probably ignore Cal Quantrill (4.55 FIP, 17.5% strikeout rate, 9% walk rate) this week – even if he’s outside of Coors.
Jose Quintana (14% Rostered), New York Mets
Scheduled Starts: vs. WAS, vs. COL
Despite a 4.22 ERA, 5.32 xERA, 4.88 FIP, and 17.1% strikeout rate through 17 starts this season, you may be tempted to take Quintana this week after seven shutout innings against the Washington Nationals. However, there’s still some risk this week.
A 4.59 FIP in that recent start against Washington makes it difficult to pencil his first start this week – a reprise against Washington at home – as a positive showing. A Rockies offense outside of Coors is mostly toothless, but a warmed-up Washington offense (12th in runs scored since June 1) might have the edge this week.
Kenta Maeda (5% Rostered), Detroit Tigers
Scheduled Starts: vs. CLE, vs. LAD
Kenta Maeda: 6.71 ERA through 15 starts.
Los Angeles Dodgers: league-leading 451 runs scored this season.
Unstoppable force meets a very movable object – I’m sure you see the likely outcome.
