He put up a season-high 87 scrimmage yards on 12 touches (also tying a season-high) two weeks ago against the New York Jets. Benson is starting to look like the player many dynasty football enthusiasts thought he was. Despite the good news, he’s not a top waiver priority this week. Unless you are truly desperate for a running back, don’t use a ton of FAAB or burn a top waiver claim on him.
Benson should be added in deeper leagues as his role in Arizona’s offense has been growing. He is one of the top handcuffs available and offers some stand-alone value as well. Should anything happen to James Conner, then Benson would be in line for a huge role and could be a potential league winner.
If you’ve got a roster spot to play with, you should also consider adding Benson as Arizona’s schedule in the fantasy playoffs is relatively running back-friendly. He's a nice bench stash with upside for more.
