ANALYSIS: With All-Star closer Devin Williams (back) on the 60-day injured list, the Brewers have split ninth-inning duties among three relievers: Trevor Megill, Abner Uribe, and Joel Payamps. Currently, Payamps has the most out of the group with four saves, and Uribe and Megill have three each.
However, since Megill was activated from the injured list on April 19, Megill has looked like the Brewer's best option in the bullpen and could take over closing duties. Since April 19, the 30-year-old has a 1.35 ERA and 0.60 WHIP through six ⅔ innings with five punchouts, three saves and two holds. Overall on the season, he has a 1.04 ERA and 0.81 WHIP.

In the last five games, Megill has only appeared in the eighth or ninth inning, suggesting that manager Pat Murphy clearly trusts him in high-leverage situations. Megill is your best answer for a long-term solution if you need saves. Devin Williams is not expected to return until the All-Star Break, which could allow Megill to have closing duties for the next two months.
