ANALYSIS: I might be alone in Ariza's Island, but I'm going to die on it if that's what needs to be done. Ariza is a great player, full stop. Is he going to finish the season as a top-tier player? No. Is he the leading man of the squads he's part of? Nope. Is he a daily winning-play in DFS, or a must-have starter in redraft leagues? Never. But he's awesome for what he is, a role player that will hand you goodies nightly no matter what, starter of every game for the Heat, and 28+ MPG averager.

Ariza's game log is fun to look at because it can drive you crazy. The bounciness seems to be there on purpose. Seriously. Getting back to Apr. 23, Ariza has scored 13, 4, 18, 4, 18, 9, and 18 points in a true two-week rollercoaster. Anyway, Ariza keeps on doing it and his average numbers are what matter here, folks, so don't miss the forest for the trees. Ariza's line is sitting at a 12-5-2-1 average in the last seven games and thanks to a slightly reduced playing time (26 MPG in the last four) Ariza is now a much more efficient player.

While on the season Ariza is putting up a below-average 0.75 FP/min mark, he has absolutely improved on that front in the past two weeks with an above-average 0.94 average that has been even better in May alone sitting at 1.07 FP/min. Ariza has reached 27+ FP in all three of his last matches and five of his past seven, has scored 1+ triple in all of the last five, is averaging 2.4 3PG in that span, and is pulling down more than 5 RPG since Apr. 23.
