BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 15 percent of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: A second-round pick by the White Sox back in 2009, Trayce Thompson produced solid but unspectacular numbers as he rose slowly through the minor league ranks. He finally reached the big leagues last season and acquitted himself well, hitting .295/.363/.533 with five homers in 44 games. Dealt to the Dodgers as part of the three-team trade that sent Todd Frazier to the South Side, Thompson made the team out of spring training and picked up right where he left off. He's blasted seven homers in just 105 plate appearances, forcing his way into consistent playing time in a crowded L.A. outfield. Though he's only attempted two steals (one successfully), the 25-year-old showed some speed and baserunning prowess as a minor leaguer.
Thompson's ownership rate has doubled in the last few days, but he's still there for the taking in six out of every seven leagues. Owners in deeper formats looking for a jolt to their lineup should seriously consider adding him.
