ANALYSIS: Travis Shaw faded badly after a hot start with the Red Sox last season. Traded to Milwaukee over the winter, he's the starting third baseman and hitting in the middle of what figures to be a sneaky-good Brewers lineup. While Fenway Park has a well-deserved reputation as a hitter’s park, it's actually one of the most difficult places in the game for lefties to hit a home run. Miller Park is among the best parks for lefty power, and it's not hard to imagine Shaw taking advantage. While the Brewers are on the road this week, they'll be enjoying the hospitable confines of Toronto and Cincinnati.
Shaw has just one homer so far, but also has five doubles. Through seven games, he is hitting .280/.379/.600, making him a fine corner infield option in standard mixers.
