Week 13 was another average week for quarterback production thanks to several big names being on bye week. We got excellent fantasy performances from Brock Purdy (314 yards and four touchdowns), Geno Smith (334 yards and three touchdowns), and Dak Prescott (299 yards and three touchdowns) with little else.
For many, Week 14 represents the final week of the fantasy regular season. Thankfully, there will be only two quarterbacks on bye with the Cardinals and Commanders set to have the week off. Unfortunately, both of those quarterbacks are fantasy-relevant, which means fantasy managers may be going to the waiver wire well once again.
In this article, I will be focusing on players under 65% rostered in fantasy leagues while adding a couple of deep sleepers for two-quarterback leagues (less than 25% rostered). Let’s look at who you should consider picking up in Week 14 below.

Single-QB League Waiver Wire Options and Stashes
Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Yahoo: 57% rostered
It wasn’t a pretty game for Baker Mayfield against a Panthers defense that got a lot of starters back in the secondary from the injured reserve. Even with an ugly start, Mayfield was able to lean on Mike Evans to salvage a respectable fantasy performance.
Mayfield completed just 14 of 29 passes for 202 yards with a touchdown and an interception against the Panthers but still found a way to 11.8 fantasy points thanks to a big effort from Mike Evans. Mayfield continues to provide a solid fantasy floor with the occasional high-end QB2 performance.
The Buccaneers have three advantageous matchups on the horizon against the Falcons, Packers, and Jaguars secondaries, which gives Mayfield the edge as the quarterback to add if you need a solid quarterback performance heading into the fantasy playoffs.
Gardner Minshew, Indianapolis Colts
Yahoo: 23% rostered
Minshew got it done in overtime against the Titans in Week 13 to keep the Colts firmly entrenched in the AFC playoff race. The veteran journeyman completed 26 of 42 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions against Tennessee’s pass funnel defense.
Minshew now has at least 14.0 fantasy points in each game since the Colts’ Week 12 bye. More importantly, the Colts haven’t shied away from airing it out with Minshew under center. The veteran quarterback has at least 40 pass attempts in five of nine starts this season. Expect that trend to continue against a good but not great Bengals secondary in Week 14.
Mitch Trubisky, Pittsburgh Steelers
Yahoo: 0% rostered
Kenny Pickett's ankle injury is expected to sideline him for several weeks, which means Mitch Trubisky is back in our lives as the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Trubisky wasn't able to engineer a comeback against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13, but he still finished with a respectable 11 for 17 for 117 yards and a touchdown stat line in the game.
Trubisky wasn't great in an earlier start this season against the Jaguars, but maybe the new offensive coordinator is able to help him take shots down the field to Diontae Johnson and George Pickens. Trubisky will have a tough matchup against the Patriots on a short Week in Week 14, but will get advantageous matchups against Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Seattle to close out the season.
Two-QB League Waiver Wire Options and Stashes
Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals
Yahoo: 9% rostered
The Bengals won’t play until tonight’s game, but Jake Browning is worth considering as a streaming quarterback (assuming he stays healthy). Browning completed 19 of 26 passes for 227 yards and a touchdown in his first career start, racking up 11.9 fantasy points in Week 12.
Browning has produced double-digit fantasy points in both of the games he’s seen extended time on the field this season. That is even more impressive considering those games were against the Ravens and Steelers' defenses.
The Bengals have a nice stretch of quarterback-friendly defenses over the next three weeks with games against Jacksonville (tonight), Indianapolis, and Minnesota. Browning could get there with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins (likely returning in Week 13) generating plays after the catch.
Aidan O'Connell, Las Vegas Raiders
Yahoo: 4% rostered
The bye week came at a bad time for Aidan O'Connell after he had arguably his best professional game in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The rookie completed 23 of 33 passes for 248 yards and a touchdown against a very strong Chiefs defense. It was just the second game this season where O'Connell didn’t throw an interception.
On the other hand, a Raiders bye could give the team time to dig into the things that O'Connell does well so that he can end the season strong and make a case to get an extended look next season. The Raiders will get a fine matchup against the Vikings in Week 14 and have a fantastic matchup against the Chargers on deck in Week 15.
At least two weeks are coming up where the rookie quarterback can provide solid streaming upside at the quarterback position.
