It was not a banner week for the quarterback position in fantasy football. There wasn’t a single quarterback that surpassed 300 passing yards between Thursday and the main Sunday slate. We did get a five passing touchdown performance (Joe Burrow) and three quarterbacks with three passing touchdowns, but that was it.
Four teams have a Week 10 bye week. Three (Cleveland, Green Bay, and Seattle) have quarterbacks that are interesting for fantasy football. Fantasy managers must be active on the waiver wire this week as they push for a playoff spot in their fantasy leagues.
In this article, I will be focusing on players under 65% rostered in fantasy leagues while adding a couple of deep sleepers for two-quarterback leagues (less than 25% rostered).

Single-QB Waiver Wire Pickups and Streamers
Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers
Yahoo: 16% rostered
Russell Wilson posted back-to-back good starts before the Steelers’ bye. His second performance wasn’t as impactful for fantasy football (13.8 points), but it did ensure that he would continue to be the starting quarterback going forward.

The veteran quarterback is completing 63% of his passes for 542 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions in his first two starts of the season. He has also added six carries for 10 yards and a touchdown.
Pittsburgh has five straight excellent matchups on the horizon for fantasy quarterbacks. They will play Washington, Baltimore, Cleveland (twice), and Cincinnati from Weeks 10 to 14. Wilson has shown us that he possesses a strong fantasy ceiling (24.8 points in his first start) and a respectable floor (13.8 in his second start).
He should be added in all formats now that the Steelers are past their bye.
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
Yahoo: 60% rostered
The Dolphins haven’t secured a win since Tua’s return from a concussion, but the offense has looked much better. They’ve scored 27 points in each of Tagovailoa’s last two starts, but the defense has not been able to stop their opponents.
In his last two starts, Tua has thrown for 465 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions. He’s scored at least 14.0 fantasy points since returning from injured reserve.

While we haven’t seen a truly explosive passing game from Miami in the last two weeks, that is always in play with Tua at the helm of Miami’s passing attack. The next two weeks feature matchups against average defenses in the Rams and Raiders.
With four quarterbacks on bye next week, Tua is firmly in the QB2 with QB1 upside window in a game against the Rams’ porous secondary. The game will also have shootout potential with Matthew Stafford having his offensive weapons back on the field.
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Yahoo: 44% rostered
The Chargers are starting to up their passing volume, which has allowed Justin Herbert to put up strong performances at the quarterback position.
Los Angeles has at least 27 passing attempts in each of their last five games. During that span, Herbert has thrown for at least 275 yards three times and has six passing touchdowns with zero interceptions. He’s surpassed 20.0 fantasy points in each of his last two starts.

The Chargers' offense is starting to click. They have an extremely fantasy-friendly schedule for the next four weeks with matchups against Tennessee, Cincinnati, Baltimore, and Atlanta. Three of those teams will have the ability to create a shootout environment, giving Herbert more upside.
Justin Herbert has multi-week starting appeal, especially if the Chargers continue to keep a consistent passing volume.
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
Yahoo: 34% rostered
Bo Nix continues to put up strong fantasy numbers for the Denver Broncos despite questionable talent at wide receiver. Denver’s offense put up just 10 points against the Ravens in Week 9, but Nix was still able to score 17.7 fantasy points. Nix had just 223 passing yards and an interception passing, but had a receiving touchdown on a trick play and added six carries for 36 yards.

Nix has now scored 17 or more fantasy points in five of his nine starts. He’s exceeded 20 points in three of his last five games. The rookie isn’t putting up absurd passing statistics but is one of the more consistent rushing threats at the quarterback position this year. He has at least five carries in eight of his nine starts in 2024.
Nix has a difficult matchup in Week 10 against the Chiefs defense, but following that he faces off against Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Cleveland before the team’s Week 14 bye. He’s an excellent stash if you have a quarterback hitting the bye week from Week 11 to 13.
Two-QB Waiver Wire Pickups and Stashes
Drake Maye, New England Patriots
Yahoo: 11% rostered
Drake Maye continues to overcome an abysmal offensive line and poor receiving corps to put up respectable fantasy performances. Maye has at least 15 fantasy points in all three games he’s started and finished (with two 20+ point performances).

— New England Patriots (@Patriots) November 3, 2024
He also had 11 fantasy points in Week 8’s game against the Jets despite playing just 20 snaps due to a concussion.
Over the last four weeks, Maye has 748 passing yards with six passing touchdowns and four interceptions. He’s also added 19 carries for 197 yards and a touchdown over that span.
There are rough matchups on the horizon for Maye, especially in Week 10 (Chicago) and Week 12 (Miami). However, quarterbacks who run the football usually have a strong floor in fantasy. Maye won’t be the most reliable quarterback, but he’s prone to big weeks with his rushing ability.
Daniel Jones, New York Giants
Yahoo: 10% rostered
Daniel Jones once again capitalized on a matchup against Washington’s secondary in Week 9 after two subpar fantasy performances in Week 7 (5.96) and Week 8 (6.66).
The veteran quarterback threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns against Washington while adding seven carries for 54 yards and a rushing touchdown. It was the fourth time this season that Jones scored 18 or more fantasy points and his second 20+ point performance of the year.

Jones has another excellent matchup against the Panthers atrocious secondary in Week 10. He may also be worth stashing if you have the bench the week after the Giants’ Week 11 bye. New York has matchups against the Buccaneers, Dallas, New Orleans, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Indianapolis from Weeks 12 to 17.
