We had a slight scoring regression in Week 10 of the NFL season. Six teams scored at least 30 points, but four of those six teams played against each other. That’s great for entertaining football but didn’t help fantasy managers hoping for offensive output at the quarterback position.
Thankfully, we did have some notable quarterback performances in Week 10. Four quarterbacks (Kirk Cousins, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Davis Mills) finished the week with 300 passing yards. Mahomes also paced all quarterbacks in passing touchdowns (four), but three other quarterbacks added three-touchdown weeks. Justin Fields continued his assault on the ground, finishing with 147 rushing yards.
In this article, I will look at the fantasy football waiver wire for quarterback pickups and streamers, focusing on players under 65% rostered in fantasy leagues while adding a couple of deep sleepers for two-quarterback leagues (less than 25% rostered).

Single-QB League Waiver Wire Options
Daniel Jones, New York Giants
Yahoo: 64% rostered
Daniel Jones got right back on track following the Giants’ bye week, throwing for 197 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions against the Houston Texans. Jones had his third game of the season with at least 20.0 fantasy points despite a complete lack of explosive weapons in the passing attack.
Jones gets a good amount of credit for taking care of the football this season (two interceptions in nine games), but Brian Daboll is also doing an excellent job getting players open and giving Jones a chance to make plays with both his arm and his legs.
The Giants have three good fantasy matchups in the next three weeks, facing off against the Lions, Cowboys, and Commanders between Weeks 11 and 13. Jones has a multi-week upside, so be proactive and get him on your squad if you have an impending bye week on deck.
Marcus Mariota, Atlanta Falcons
Yahoo: 33% rostered
Marcus Mariota isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing quarterback to watch, but he continues to string together solid fantasy performances. Mariota completed 19 of 30 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns and an interception in a Thursday night loss to the Panthers.
The veteran quarterback now has eight double-digit fantasy weeks this season, including six games with more than 15.0 fantasy points. Mariota does not possess a massive ceiling given the team’s lack of passing volume, but he’s capable of providing solid streaming appeal.
Mariota has three great matchups on the horizon against the Bears, Commanders, and Steelers before Atlanta’s Week 14 bye. He likely won’t be a priority for many fantasy managers, but he can fill a bye week or injury gap in a pinch.
Two-QB Waiver Wire Options and Stashes
Davis Mills, Houston Texans
Yahoo: 7% rostered
Davis Mills has disappointed fantasy managers after a solid rookie year, throwing for 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions during a rocky sophomore season. His inconsistency as an NFL quarterback has translated into inconsistency as a fantasy asset as well.
That being said, Mills has put together consecutive weeks with double-digit fantasy scoring. Given the high volume of bye weeks, that’s a solid streaming upside. If you need a one-week filler, then Week 11 is the time to target him on waivers. Houston has a matchup against a porous Commanders secondary on deck.
Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints
Yahoo: 10% rostered
Andy Dalton continues to struggle as the signal caller for the Saints, which is leading to murmurs of a quarterback switch. Winston isn’t much better at taking care of the ball, but he does offer more downfield passing and the potential for a bigger upside. The veteran quarterback has as many 20.0 fantasy point games as Dalton in less than half of the games played.
The Saints kept Dalton at the helm thanks to his ability to take care of the ball, but he’s turned the ball over six times in the last four games, rendering that reasoning useless. The Saints are scuffling and could want to turn back to explosive plays, which would be great news for Winston.
If you know you have bye weeks on the horizon in Weeks 13 and 14, then securing Winston’s big play ability could be a difference maker getting into the fantasy playoffs.
