New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is one of the most talented players in the NFL. The superstar running back has had at least 960 rushing yards in four of six career seasons, including back-to-back years.
The former Penn State star has struggled with injuries in his career. He missed at least three games in two of the past three seasons. Furthermore, the superstar missed most of the 2020 season with a torn ACL.
Barkley is a free agent next month for the second consecutive year. Where will he be playing in 2024? Let’s dive into it.

Will Saquon Barkley Hit The Open Market?
The former Penn State star played last season on the franchise tag. Barkley repeatedly voiced his displeasure with the franchise tag over the past year. At the end of the 2023 season, he told the media that he hoped the Giants wouldn’t use the franchise tag on him for the second consecutive offseason.
It sounds like Barkley will get his wish. Reportedly, New York is leaning toward letting the superstar running back test out the free-agent market. For the first time in his NFL career, Barkley will be free to negotiate with other teams.
Sounds like Saquon Barkley's time with #Giants could be coming to an end.

Which Teams Could Sign Saquon Barkley In Free Agency?
A return to the Giants isn’t off the table. Furthermore, the betting market has Barkley returning to New York as the favorite landing spot. Where else could the superstar running back sign this offseason?
The one team that gets talked about the most on social media is the Los Angeles Chargers. Austin Ekeler is an older running back and will be a free agent next month. Meanwhile, new head coach Jim Harbaugh loves to run the ball and have a featured running back. Many believe Barkley would be a perfect fit in Los Angeles.

Another potential landing spot is the Houston Texans. Last year, the Texans surprised everyone by winning the AFC South division in C.J. Stroud’s rookie season. While Devin Singletary was solid out of the backfield, the veteran is a free agent this offseason, and the team could easily upgrade. Houston has plenty of cap space to give Barkley the massive contract he seeks. Furthermore, teaming up with Stroud and an up-and-coming offense would appeal to the superstar running back.
