The lack of depth and playmaking ability at the wide receiver position across the NFL is evident. While many teams will attempt to boost their receiving corps through the NFL Draft, there are still a slew of veteran wideouts roaming free agency.
Among those names are some viable candidates who could instantaneously be an upgrade on the field and in the locker room for an NFL squad. One who stands out in particular is Odell Beckham Jr.
After a one-year stint in Baltimore, Beckham will look to sign with his fourth team in five years. Many teams would benefit from adding Beckham, but some need him more than others. The WR would be best served signing with a competing squad -- it's just a question of whether he can bring his price down.

Which Teams Would be the Best Fit for Odell Beckham Jr.?
Kansas City Chiefs
Forget about the pending Rashee Rice suspension for a minute because even with Rice, Justin Watson is the third WR here. Watson was somewhat of a reliable deep threat in 2023, but the Chiefs could do better. Sure, they just signed former Arizona Cardinal Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, but it's clear that Beckham wants to play here. Travis Kelce wants him there, too.

New York Jets
Another team that just signed a WR is the New York Jets (Mike Williams), but they're still another squad that lacks depth. Behind Williams and Garrett Wilson, the third wideout is Xavier Gipson, and, as of now -- Mike Williams is questionable for the start of training camp (ACL). In addition to this, Odell Beckham Jr. has had ties here, too. Don't forget that Beckham nearly signed with the Jets before accepting his contract in Baltimore. There was even an attempt to unite Beckham and Aaron Rodgers when Rodgers played in Green Bay.

Dallas Cowboys
There's not much in the WR room behind CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks in Dallas. Jalen Tolbert hasn't panned out yet for the Cowboys, and their "reserves" list behind him is highlighted by Martavis Bryant -- remember him? You could argue that at this point in their careers, Beckham and Cooks are similar assets -- but Beckham would immediately give Dak Prescott a third viable receiving option. Dallas is also yet another team Beckham has had ties with dating back to 2022. I expect the Cowboys will draft a running back this year. It'll be interesting to see how many draft picks they want to sink into skill players.

Buffalo Bills
After losing Stefon Diggs to the suddenly formidable Houston Texans team, Josh Allen looks like he needs a friend in Buffalo. Add Gabe Davis to that list of departed WRs, and that's 241 targets the Bills won't have returning in 2024. Curtis Samuel joined the squad and had 62 catches last year, but he doesn't project to be a No. 1 WR for this team. Even if the Bills attempt to fill this need in the draft, they would still need some more playmakers to supplement the offense.
