Below are my top MLB hitter streamer options for Week 3 of fantasy baseball. All players listed here are under 50% owned in Yahoo leagues and play seven games this week.
Streaming hitters is a great way to increase production and fantasy stats off the waiver wire for your head-to-head matchups, or if you're dealing with some underperformers on your roster. Check back weekly for my favorite hitter streamers for the upcoming week.

Waiver Wire Hitter Streamers - Week 3
1. Adam Lind (1B, MIL) - 49% owned
4 games vs CIN, 3 games vs STL
If there’s one thing Adam Lind does best, it’s crush right-handed pitching. He has a career .860 OPS against righties, and he will be facing seven such pitchers this week. Despite missing Carlos Gomez in the lineup, Lind is easily my number one streamer this week if available.
2. Scooter Gennett (2B, MIL) - 12% owned
4 games vs CIN, 3 games vs STL
Gennett has not hit lefties well, but you know what is good about that? That he faces seven righties this week, and he has a career .834 OPS versus them. He is my top middle infield streaming option this week and available in 88% of leagues. Go get him!
3. Dexter Fowler (OF, CHC) - 32% owned
4 games @ PIT, 3 games @ CIN
Atop a Cubs lineup that has now been infused with uber-phenom Kris Bryant, Fowler will be followed by Soler, Rizzo, and Bryant. The lineup has a lot of talent throughout, also providing Fowler with some RBI opportunities. With seven games and decent pitching matchups, he is a great streaming option.
4. Khris Davis (OF, MIL) – 49% owned
4 games vs CIN, 3 games vs STL
Davis hasn’t yet found his power stroke this year, but it’s very early. With seven home games, he could provide decent run production and power if available, with a middling batting average.
5. Marlon Byrd (OF, Reds) - 48% owned
4 games @ MIL, 3 games vs CHC
Byrd has been slumping badly this season any way you look at it. At 37, it’s very possible he has fallen off a cliff. But his success over the last two seasons, combined with seven games against somewhat decent pitching matchups, makes him worth a shot as a streaming option this week.
6. Mark Teixeira (1B/DH, NYY) – 42% owned
4 games @ DET, 3 games vs NYM
Teixeira has battled injuries the last few years, but he has always shown power. And this year, he has already slugged three home runs. In the middle of the Yankees lineup, he is a very decent asset. He is only ranked this low due to poor pitching matchups, facing Price, Harvey, and DeGrom.
7. Carlos Beltran (OF/DH, NYY) – 39% owned
4 games @ DET, 3 games vs NYM
Beltran has struggled to start the year coming off an injury last year. But batting third in the Yankees lineup which has some aging talent, Beltran should be a good run producer who has power and decent average. He is not likely to reach his former levels, and faces the same tough pitching matchups as Teixera, but he is worth a stream.
Honorable Deeper League Mention – Chris Coghlan (OF, CHC) - 4% owned
