Free agent wide receiver Marquise Brown is one of the more explosive players in the NFL. The veteran wide receiver ran a 4.27 40-yard dash at his Pro Day coming out of Oklahoma. He was a first-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Brown has spent most of his career as a No. 1 wide receiver. He had at least six receiving touchdowns every year with the Ravens. His best season came in 2021, totaling 91 receptions on 146 targets for 1,008 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Many were excited when Brown got traded to the Arizona Cardinals during the 2022 NFL Draft. He was teaming up with his former college quarterback – Kyler Murray. Unfortunately, his two years in Arizona haven’t been ideal because of injuries to him and his star quarterback.

Is Marquise Brown A Free Agent?
The former Oklahoma star has missed 23.5% of the games over the past two years. Brown totaled 118 receptions on 208 targets for 1,283 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 26 games with the Cardinals.
While Arizona hasn’t closed the door on the veteran receiver returning to Arizona in 2024, many believe Brown will play elsewhere next year. The former Oklahoma star is part of a solid group of free-agent wide receivers, even after big-name players like Michael Pittman Jr. and Calvin Ridley signed long-term contracts this offseason.
Free agency has thinned out quickly at the skill positions. Best remaining unsigned:
1. WR Marquise Brown
2. WR Mike Williams (ACL)
3. WR Curtis Samuel
4. WR Michael Thomas
5. WR Tyler Boyd
6. WR Odell Beckham
7. WR DJ Chark
8. QB Ryan Tannehill— Adam Levitan (@adamlevitan) March 14, 2024
Which Teams Would Be The Best Fit For Marquise Brown?
Unfortunately, Brown’s market value took a hit because of the outstanding 2024 wide receiver draft class. There are several talented prospects in the NFL Draft this year, limiting how much teams will pay for the veteran in free agency.
However, Brown has multiple potential suitors that would appeal to fantasy players. Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill has tried to recruit the veteran wide receiver over social media. The Chiefs have a star in the making with Rashee Rice but lack another reliable wide receiver for Patrick Mahomes.

Another potential landing spot for Brown is the Los Angeles Chargers. The team had to release Mike Williams for salary cap reasons earlier this week, leaving them with limited options at wide receiver. Brown played for current Los Angeles offensive coordinator Greg Roman in Baltimore. A reunion with Justin Herbert under center would be intriguing.
